15 - Marble

A piece I wrote for my Imaginative Writing Class. An alphabet poem.

An auspicious black cat
crosses your path.
Diamonds in the eyes
displaying the form—
glorious, of your heart’s desire.
How can this be? Is that jocund
smile three parts knowledge,
one lively mask and two halves
naïve observation?
Cat’s eye continues to stare.

The End
