#1 BeginningMature

New butterfly wings gently unfurl
As I fall slowly asleep
A new morning smiles so brightly-
Can't you hear it
The purest single note
Within a silent age
A wave against the boat
Swings open the cage

Pages flutter open
Words curl through the air
Mist grips tight to the empty threads
A feeling passing through
The clear water light
High rising in the sky
Bringing with the night
Filled with that first cry

The End
