Why should I upgrade my Protagonize account?
Upgrading to a Protagonize Plus account† is an affordable way to allow you to manage and organize your works better, see stats about your readership, have access to many convenient optional features, and generally do more on the site.
Contributing to Protagonize by upgrading your account also allows us to improve and expand the Protagonize service, and offer new tools and features to both subscribers and regular users, making the site better for everyone.
† All subscriptions are processed via PayPal (which accepts credit cards) in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

Can I give Plus subscription to a friend?
Yes, of course you can! :) If you're feeling charitable, you're welcome to gift a subscription to a friend on the site. When you're making your payment, simply put in the account of the user you're donating in the "notes" field instead of your own. We'll make sure your friend receives their gift account in all haste!
I don't use Paypal — are there other ways to subscribe?
To clarify, making a payment via PayPal doesn't require an account there. You can use it strictly as a secure online payment service without actually registering.
Still unable to use PayPal? Here are a few alternative ways to contribute:
- Email money transfer (an option at some Canadian and foreign banks)
- Wire transfer (may include additional bank fees)
- Certified/cashier's cheque or money order via postal mail
(no cash or personal cheques, please!)

I was a previous subscriber, what happens to my account now?
If you were a Pro or Plus subscriber under our previous format, your account will be automatically converted to the new Plus account format.
Previous Pro accounts will be granted 6 months of Plus access from the launch date of the new format. Previous Plus accounts will be granted 1 year of updated Plus access.
Your Plus account expiration date will be visible to you on the Edit your account page. You'll need to renew your account manually at the end of that time, as your payment will not automatically renew.
Do you offer refunds?
Yearly subscriptions can be cancelled and refunded in full‡ within thirty (30) days of purchase.
Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled within five (5) days of purchase for a full‡ refund.
All refunds are issued via PayPal, to the primary email address attached to your Protagonize account (unless otherwise specified on your original order.)
‡ PayPal's service fee will be deducted from any refund(s) issued.
