Alright, so I'm Jack. People tend to know me around here, probably 'cause I'm a moderator and have been on Ptag since forever. I typically write fantasy, and my style has been pointed out as being very descriptive. I often struggle with dialogue.
Consequently, fantasy and sci-fi are my two favourite genres to read, though I prefer a more fast-paced plot. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate some really good descriptions, but if the author goes on for pages and pages about the quality of the rocks I'm ditching (looking at you, Tolkien).
So, uhm, that's me in a nutshell*.
My critique errs on the side of grammar and structure, though I can comment on other aspects of the story if asked. I also tend to pay attention to the believability of a story and the world it is set in.
*Actually, me in a nutshell would be, "Help! I'm in a nutshell!"
