What's on your bookshelf? Let us know what you're reading & discuss your favourite books!
There's a fireplace warming the darkened corner of the bookstore, the flames casting wildly elongated shadows across the far wall. A handful of readers sit ensconced in overstuffed chairs, strewn around the cozy, welcoming room. The smell of hot chocolate, tea and infused coffees intermingle in the air as you meander to an open spot, seat yourself comfortably, and settle in to read.
This group is a place to discuss your current literary passions. Reading something interesting? Stop by to discuss it with the rest of our members. We'll do our best to make you feel at home!
Here are just a few...
Frodo and Harry's parents are both dead.
They both have a dim-witted friend; Sam and Ron.
Sauron and Voldemort are both refered to as the Dark Lord
Gandalf and Dombledore... DUH
The Ring and the Locket (Horcrux) have the same effect.
That's just a couple, but there are lots more. What do you think?
Just wanna know if I'm the only one that thinks this...
I think that there are a lot of similar plot lines that many books share. I mean, no one in the last 100 years or so has really come up with a completely unique idea that has never been done before. Perhaps them being so similar is just a sign that they are both modeled after some awesome ideas from centuries of writing.
