We all have those books that we've read SO MANY TIMES and yet somehow, even though we can practically recite them, they are STILL AWESOME.

Don't we?

I talked about mine in a video 'cos I figured it was easier - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PY70J80HRVM. Feel free to post comments here telling me your favourites, or put a video response on there, or whatever. Multimedia, oh yeah :D

The Hunger Games... haha!! Me and my friends are truly obbsessed with the books, most of the time to the extent that it is probably not very good for our health xD

Did you hear about the movie thats coming out in December? 'The Hobbit- An Unexpected Journey'

Definietly going to see that! :) How about you?

Obviously going to see the Hobbit :) It's been over eight years since I read it for the first time. It's coming very close to the eight-year anniversary of when I started LotR as well :)

Haven't read the Hunger Games, but I've heard good things about them. I looked for them in the library the other day but they were on loan, so I'll have to try another day.

Read them. The Hunger Games stories are the works of a genius. Another book series that I can't put down is the Uglies books. Don't let the title fool you, it's really cool.

I also love Hunger Game and Uglies, but the two best series of all time is Percy Jackson and the Tiger Saga. When I was younger, I was obsessed with PJ, and I still love the books, but my Tiger obsesssion has gone overboard, and that's saying something. :)

I've read the Uglies books. Read them a few years ago, actually, having borrowed them off my older sister. They're pretty cool and probably make it into my Top 100 (if I ever bothered to work out a top 100) though not into my, say, Top 20.

Well......my list has changed some, and their are just tons of books I love......but I will only put a few.

First, the science-fiction book, Heart of Gold by Sharon Shinn.

Next, fantasy: the Sword of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind (and anything with Richard and Kahlan!), and also The Protector of the Small quartet by Tamora Pierce.

Fantasy / Historical fiction: Countess Below Stairs by Eva Ibbotson.

Finally, in a category all its own, The Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare.

The version I've got is called 'The Secret Countess'. I know they rereleased it with the new title, but do you know why? I think Countess Below Stairs is a much better title, I don't know why they changed it.

@delorfinde: I would have to agree. The Secret Countess seems to me to be a much more typical name. I didn't know they released it with a new title. And, I don't know why they changed it. Have you read anything else by Eva Ibbotson?

A few things - 'Journey to the River Sea', of course, and 'Magic Flutes', and 'A Company of Swans'. Also, I think... was she the one who wrote the Star of Kazan or whatever? If so, I read that too. Not sure if there were any others :D

Maybe they changed it because people don't understand the idea of 'below stairs' unless they're actually slightly educated ;D

That is very true, in response to the name change. I have Journey to the River Sea, I just haven't read it yet.

It was one of my favourites when I was younger. I've read it so many times by now that I know it practically by heart.

I'm not a big fan or re-reading books. I think the most times I've ever read I book is four times.

I very rarely don't reread books...

I would have to congratulate you on that! All that author's hard work just to read it ONCE??? The reason I don't really like to reread books is because I already know what happens so I get bored easily.

I read books differently the second time. I look for the subtle stuff. Also, I often read them a long time afterwards so I've forgotten the ending.

I haven't read The Hunger Games, maybe I should check it out. Is that Young Adult Fiction? One of my favorite trilogies is the War of Souls.

Yes, it's YA. It's dystopia, so it's set in the future but everything is messed up (as is the nature of dystopia, ha ha).
