I'm almost halfway through Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell. This is a narrative true story of his time serving in the Spanish Civil War and it's very good so far. The details are vivid and the realism is astounding, as well as the inner politics of the revolution/counter-revolution.

Although, Orwell's superb writing was expected, especially after reading Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm.
