Anyone else find those books kind of addictive?

Well, I speak for myself, but ...

Yep, I love Terry Pratchett's books. Though some are better than others.
My best so far - Mort - well pretty much any of them where Death is a major character - Witches Abroad - Interesting Times - Guards, Guards - make that most of them!

:) Happy reading!

Terry Patchett is great....I love how he plays on certain mythological characters and potrays them...my favorite character has got to be Mustrum Ridicully

Huge Pratchett fan. Death and Susan are probably my favourite character, and they're such great foils for each other that any scene where they interact is fantastic.

Long live the Sapiant Radio - inspired from Terry Prachet, and nearly as awsome as the Sapiant luggage.

I don't have nearly enough terry Prachet in my book collection. Maybe someday when I have more book shelves. *grin*

You know what's a really good read this time around? Hogfather.
It really gets you in a mixed state of cynicism and holiday cheer. Anyone read it?

I have! It's a bit weird, though. All that stuff about the tooth fairy ...

I love Mort! My friend Ben and I are writing Mort as a musical for Script Frenzy this month. It's going well ... I think.

I also just finished The Last Continent ... I think that book is one of the more bizarre, but there we go.

Yeah, it should be interesting. I'm not doing the music, Ben is. I'm just writing the script :) Doing all the donkey work, lol.

I read too much also. I borrow seven books from the library every Friday and have normally finished them by about Tuesday or Wednesday unless they're classics. I'm always overdue on books though because I lose them ...

ahh, musics the easy part! i should know, i sing! i find it impossible to write scripts.....dont know why though.

No, the script is the easy part. I just sit here and go, yep, cut that ... type up that ...
And same! 10 shelves! (One of which is stacked double and is in my cupboard, three of which are stacked horizontally to fit more in, two are just random shelves and three are in the corridor because they wouldn't fit in my room :)

i have one in the corridor as well- and 2 in my sisters room. my mum gave up on selves, and bought me loads of boxes, so i have about 5 filled with books under my bed aswell....it doesnt help that if i liked a book when i was younger, i now cant throw them out, so i keep them for my 'children' (really so i can be childish and read them myself!)

I'm exactly the same :) So many books! If I ever get a kindle, it won't mean I can sell the others, just that I can not buy any more.

About this group

What's on your bookshelf? Let us know what you're reading & discuss your favourite books!

There's a fireplace warming the darkened corner of the bookstore, the flames casting wildly elongated shadows across the far wall. A handful of readers sit ensconced in overstuffed chairs, strewn around the cozy, welcoming room. The smell of hot chocolate, tea and infused coffees intermingle in the air as you meander to an open spot, seat yourself comfortably, and settle in to read.

This group is a place to discuss your current literary passions. Reading something interesting? Stop by to discuss it with the rest of our members. We'll do our best to make you feel at home!
