What times zone is that ending in? I'll hazard a guess at 11:59 West Coast time.

Yup, sorry, I updated it with the time zone. 11:59pm Pacific Time (gives you east coasters a few more hours. :)

eligible stories need to be posted between now and midnight on Halloween (PST). however, you can delete an old story and repost it if you really really really want to.

I just added (based on @JackRubashevskiy's submission) a note to the blog post about Mature story submissions. Here's the addendum, for reference:

Mature stories are okay, but your story will not be featured if it's mature. At best, you can win second place with a mature story, and be the featured author (yes, you'll still get the badge.) Keep this in mind when writing, as you'll rule yourself out of one of the two possible prize-finishes if your story is mature.
