pretty much exactly what the name suggests: should a BC Ptag group be made? there seem to be quite a few people from the GVRD, and i've also noticed pockets in the Okanagan and CRD. potentially having such a group could lead to "real world" meetings or write-ins.

that, and just general discussion. liiiiike... i've got two stories set in BC: one in Victoria, one in Kelowna. could be interesting to see who else is writing about this province!

just a thought. should it go ahead? discuss, British Columbians!

@Nickb, at first I thought of doing a Vancouver group, but then I remembered I don't live there yet so it would be silly to be the GM of such a thing, hah.

@Elo, is there anyone in your politically defined geographical area? BC is rad and has lots of people on Ptag, so it makes sense for if an eventual ProtagCON happens.

Ha HA @Jack... I don't know how many Ptaggers live near me, but the Maryland NaNoWriMo group has a facebook group which is still going strong, though we haven't had any meet ups since NaNo... probably because most of us are busy moms and some of us work. *grin*

Still I wouldn't mind travling to BC for ProtagCON. great excuss to get away and go some place new. :}

@Elo, ProtagCON would be fun if anything like that ever materializes. i guess the most probable course would be user-organized events such as on Flickr. meet-ups, i think the people at Flickr call them.

I'm in Victoria, meet ups in Victoria or Vancouver would be interesting to be sure. If I'm not mistaken, there has been one that occurred at a bar in Vancouver about a year ago which I didn't have a chance to go to.

@Gnashville, yah, there was an informal bar meet-up some time ago, 'cause Darkliquid and Druidx were visiting Canada. who knows what might go down in the future.

and you're from Vic? me too! i'm here right now, actually. usually i live in the Okanagan, but 'tis reading break for us UBC students so i'm at home escaping winter, hahah.

@Jackerbie, Yeh, I just moved down here from up island a couple months ago. If you ever find yourself buying alcohol in Hillside, I work at the Metro Liquor down in that area haha.

About this group

Stop by the Protagonize Pub for a frosty pint and some lively banter with our members.

The Protagonize Pub is just around the corner, down a couple of doors, on the left. It's a friendly place, where Protagonizers of all shapes and sizes come to relax, take a load off, and talk about the labours of the day. Come on in, we're all writers here, and we won't bite. Well, not too much, anyway.

Whether you're a newcomer to these parts or an old hand, enter and be welcome. The topics are as varied as the people who visit, and the atmosphere is as convivial as a carnival. Meet and be met, and get to know your fellow authors. After all, we're all in this together, ain't we?
