Fredrick looked at the glass still on the counter and his heart jumped into his throat. The glass on the counter was George's drink! Hen suddenly began to panic, and ran from the bar. The bartender looked out after him as he burst out of the door. "What's wrong with him?"
As he flew out of the building, Fredrick tripped over his own boots and fell to the ground. He looked up at the sky, and was struck in the eyes with the radiant glow of the full moon. Trying to stand up, he felt himself thrown back to the ground by an invisible force. He felt a burning sensation flowing through his entire body, and his head began to pound with intense pain. A tingling feeling began to join his pain, and he could see tiny hairs poking through his flesh. His muscle started to bubble inside of him, and it stretched and grew. Fredrick was forced to arch his back as his spine burned and moved against his will. He let out cries of agonizing pain, but nobody was outside to hear him, and they were cut short when his face structure bent and stretched, causing even more pain. Blood began to drip from outnof his mouth, and his teeth burned wildly. He let out a short scream and a mouthful of teeth fell to the ground in a pool of blood. Limbs began to bend out of shape and stretched and formed into that of a dogs. More blood ran to the ground, this time from his hands, as immense claws grew from his fingers. As the metamorphosis was nearing an end, Fredrick finally blacked out, for his mind was fully under the power of the werewolf.
The creature's nose and mouth elongated into a vicious snout, which bore the fangs that took place of human teeth. When the last inch of it's body was fully covered in long grey fur, it got up on it's hind legs and let out a long, extraordinarily loud howl at the bright, empowering moon.
Many people looked up from their drinks in the bar, and the bartender stopped and looked up from pouring cold water over George, who was still passed out on the ground. Not a soul in the room went back to their drinks when the howling ended, and a few got up from their stools to see what made it. Everyone could tell that the noise came from outside, and became absolutely silent and nervous.
The door to the bar creaked open slowly as a few started outside. The first to cross over the threshold saw nothing, and turned to face the others. "I don't see nothi..." He was cut short as he was tackled out of side by a grey blur. A man, who was second closest to the outside, jumped back into the bar, and slammed the door. He ran along the front wall slamming the wooden shutters closed, and sank into his chair, stunned with fear.
"What happened? What was out there?" Asked the bartender. The man who had seen it said nothing, and nearly fell from his seat when a scratching was heard at the door.
"Don't open it!" The man cried at someone inching towards the door. A scratching was heard at the door a second time, and the bartender left the bar, and grabbed a gun from off the wall. He walked to the door, and aimed the gun at it.
"Who's there?" he said. When there was no response, he lowered his gun and went for the door handle. The handle slowly turned in his hand, and he drew a deep breath. Just before the door was open, a fur covered hand and arm shot through the door, grabbing the bartender by the throat. The claws closed quickly around his neck, slicing deep into the flesh. Some of the men cringed and jumped back from the door, but no one went to help the dying bartender. The bartender was bleeding profusely, covering his neck with the towel hanging at his waste.
"Some one help him!" one man cried, but nobody moved a muscle. The creatures face appeared through the hole it made in the door, and it's jaws snapped at the men. One finally ran to the bartender's side, but after realizing he had died, grabbed the gun that lay at his feet, and raised it at the door. Before he could let off a shot, the door was burst off its hinges and the creature bounded on top of the man. He could not even let off a scream before immense claws lopped his head clean from his torso. The beast let off a growling roar at the rest of the men in the bar, and ran for a group of them who were previously playing cards, and threw one of them over the bar. People started going mad with fright, and chairs hit the floor. One man trying to run out, passed the werewolf's path, and was knocked to the ground with a blow from one of its arms. He soon found himself screaming as he was gutted alive by the beasts great yellow fangs.
Outside the bar, those who managed to get out went for help, and a few came back with guns, and a small posse. As they neared the bar, screams could be heard, and loud sinister roars. The group of men charged into the bar only to be pushed down to the ground as the creature leaped out of the building. It could be seen running on all fours down the main street of town. Quickly the group followed it, all the way to the outskirts, and then into the woods. They chased it until it's pace was too fast for any of them to keep up with, and they were forced to give of the assault.
After what seemed like an eternal night of darkness and bloodshed, the sun finally rose above the hills, and lifted the curse that the moon had empowered. Fredrick woke up to find himself nestled underneath of an oak tree, in the forest. He sat up, not fully remembering the night before. His body felt sore all over, and somehow from two months of not eating, what he could remember, he felt full, and completely satisfied with his appetite. Suddenly, memories of his transformation flooded back to him, and of the events leading up to it. Fredrick jumped to his feet, and felt his body for fur, and even his mouth for any teeth not belonging to humans. Everything that he could see was completely normal, with nothing out the ordinary. That was what he thought at least, until he noticed the blood. His shirt was torn, as if someone twice his size tried to squeeze into them, and almost every inch of them were covered with blood, and pieces of flesh. His hands were also blood covered, and he hoped against hope that it belonged to animals.
The trip back to town was difficult, especially since it was hard for him to find the trail, but more so because he feared what he might find there.
