For those interested in outlining and discussing specific ongoing storylines.
Sometimes simply using the comments area to refine a story's plot, sending private messages to co-authors to discuss characters, or updating the author guidance with setting information isn't quite enough.
If you have an elaborate, complex tale — be it solo or collaborative — come by the Planning & Brainstorming group to storyboard, outline, annotate, draft, and discuss your work's plot, characters, setting, history, intrigue, or anything that comes to mind.
Please try and keep all discussion topics you create centered around a single work!
Note: The intention is to move all story-related discussions in this group into "Story Wikis" (a new feature, currently in planning) down the road, so please use this group instead of posting new works to discuss backstory/characters/story meta-information.

and me :)
Please look no further if you are not one of the above mentioned individuals - unless you want spoilers, then by all means, forge ahead!
Heres my character, naturally, the redhaired girl :)
Name: Freya
Age: 16
Appearance: Red hair, blue eyes, fair skin
Bio: Like all children of the country of (name???), her parents and older brother left for the war. The skyships sailed off trailing blue fire, carrying her family far from her grasp. After a year, the children realized that the adults would never return. As the eldest of the youths, she became their leader. As armies marched to claim the dormant countryside, the children rise up to defend their homeland led by Freya - brave, strong, and terribly afraid.
Some details of the plot in her bio - I'm thinking something of a steampunk world as far as technology goes??
As for my bio...
Name: Margo
Age: 15
Appearance: Long black hair and bright blue eyes. Pale skin and short and skinny.
Bio: Her parents had left for the war, leaving her to care for her younger sister and younger brother, but they went missing and she finally just assumed their death. She's a bit skeptic about a girl not much older than herself running the country, but she goes with it and hopes for the best.
I like that idea for the name :)
I'll have to dig up some Latin words that will work for us...*
@Hunger
I'd say a couple of years, two to three at the most. Just enough for these young children to give up hope on the return of their parents, older siblings, etc.
---------------------------------
Skyships:
Something like the ships from Treasure Planet perhaps?
The futuristic weapons of the neighboring country:
No clue. Any ideas?
*Latin country names:
Solus - Alone
Virtus - Strength
Avis - Bird
I'll find more tomorrow when my internet connection is better....
Bellum - War
Cruor - Spilled blood
Juvenis - Youth
Cado - "To Fall"
Domus - Home
Yes! Those are all brilliant :)
How about this?
Bellum Vox - War Voice
It has a good ring to it, no?
Brilliant :) I think we'll stick with that
@Hunger
We shouldn't dwell too much on the name...
Well, the plot idea I have so far is that the neighboring country is an old enemy of Bellum Vox and, seeing that they are vulnerable, attack. They intend to seize the country.
Speaking of which, we need a name for the neighboring country.
Oh! I've had a brilliant idea - what if Freya falls in love with a boy from the enemy country??
And had to fight him in battle...
Great name! :)
But it wouldn't make much sense if they had captured some adults. After all, Bellum Vox was at war with a country from another planet - the skyships took them all away to THAT war....
We may have to find another writer for the character from Hostis. As for Neit and Margo I thought maybe Neit could be comic relief and Margo could perhaps betray them all?
Yes that sounds right...
I'll contact @two-nerds-one-pen :)
name: unknown. nickname: ice walker.
age: 15.
looks: 6ft 3, dark red hair, pale skin, coverd in scars.
cloths: thick boots, loose ragged jeans, a furry jacket that covers his chest.
wepons: old batterd hand gun, book blade on his wrist, knife.
life: after his family left he was left alone, he fought hard and over the last couple of years has got together a group of fighters that he hopes one day will be able to attack the scum that forced the adults to leave.
That's alright :)
Great character, I like how his name is unknown. Very mysterious.
But on one condition!
The Hostis people have to say that they have information on the whereabouts of my family, whom I love very much. But in the end it was all for nothing. Okay? Okay.
Ok :)
I'm not sure, I thought we'd lay the plotline out first.
(I was thinking also that Neit could die in the final battle for a heart-wrenching ending)
I like that idea! Fits right into the 'traitor' role we've given her.
