I know it's planning a little too far ahead, but what should we do for the ending? (:
A pair of young boys are destined to become the Knights of Avalon. But since the Dark Fey Century turned 300 years ago, there was never a pair of boys destined to be such knights ever again, and there would never be a Gwragedd Annwn (Welsh water fairy, sometimes associated with the Lady of the Lake) bird into the Fearie Royalty blood line again.
Until a mysterious fault in the blood line of Fearie Bund. A girl was born. A girl who sported golden blonde hair, fair skin and the dark, pond green-coloured eyes of a Gwragedd Annwn. And thus, claims of being the Knights of Avalon started appearing every where!
But of course, the Knights of Avalon were destined to be younger than the Banphrionsa(princess) Fion so she was not to fall in love with either of them. The Banphrionsa is also born with her fiancé.
So, eighteen years later when the Banphrionsa is finally considered worthy of setting out on her quest, she is introduced to her Knights with which she will vanquish the Dark Fey, just like her ancestors had all those years ago, and make sure that they cannot rise once and for all!
(In the medieval times, she would have been considered to be a women much, much earlier in her life. So I'm aware that that's not accurate but I want the characters to be over the age of 12 -.- )
These were my basic ideas for the Knights: (I'll leave their looks up to you)
Eldest Brother, Aodh:
17.
Strong, fearless, never strays from his path, passionate, rash and reckless. A fine swordsman.
~~~~~
Youngest Brother, Tadg:
16.
Quieter, calculating, physically weaker than his brother but makes up for it with his brains, tends to think things through thoroughly, calm, but zealous despite his cool demur. A great archer.
(and also Fion's: the Gwragedd Annwn, the Banphrionsa.)
Banphrionsa Fion O'Donoghue
18.
A pretty girl who is constantly dreaming of being strong. She is good with cooking, herbs, singing, swimming and dancing.
She is often referred to by the people of the kingdom as the Princess with the face of a child and body of a women. This is because she sports a younger face but a womans body.
She has long, wavy blonde hair, fair freckled skin, and large pond-green eyes framed by thick, light blonde lashes. She is short, ever-so-slightly chubby but is still nicely slim. She is often seen in white or green attire.
So, with a fair well from Fion's childhood friend and fiancé, Suibhne, (who she treats like a brother, but later on we will find he certainly does not think of Fion like a sister) they head off into the hills.
Along the way they meet many different mythical creatures, fight off one or two beasts and become closer to one another. Then, the younger Brother Knight, Tadg, walks upon Fion bathing in the water, singing her pure songs of love. He finds himself falling deeply in love with Fion, despite the fact he knows it to be taboo!
Little did he know that Aodh was also in love with Fion, although his love was based more upon foundations of lust and "Breaking the Innocents Soul".
They both bump into a Phooka(an Irish goblin) who warns the brothers that if Fion's chastity is taken away from her, she will not be able to defeat the Dark Fey. He explains that to defeat the Dark Fey Fion must give herself up, and to do this, her body needs to be as pure as possible.
They return to find their Banphrionsa unconscious and bruised on the floor with a crazed-looking Suibhne over her with a knife in his hands. He claims that if they cannot stay together in this life, then they will in the next and then proceeds to stab her in the heart. A furious Aodh decapitates the Banphrionsa's fiancé, declaring his love for Fion, telling the head how he was valiant enough to wait for Fion to defeat the Dark Fey. (sadly, Fion was fast asleep when he said his magnificent speech LOL! Poor Aodh!)
And, with the help of Puck, a shapeshifting fearie, they heal her wounds. During the time Aodh and Puck were out hunting for medicinal erbs, Tadg stole a kiss from Fion's lips. He leaves quickly, instantly guilty for his selfish act. Fion was actually awake, and decides that it was just a dream...
With a few more filler chapters, they would finally reach the Dark Fey's Bund via the Sylvans Path
You can proceed with your first chapter in whatever way you wish, like, as you said, fooling around or hunting and something. And yes, the brothers do know they are the knights.
But, taking that idea you've given me... In my next chapter I'll write that the knight's brought in are in fact fake. And Fion realises this almost instantly, and that proves she really is the"chosen one".
THEN the two real knight's can be brought in (:
The brothers can be fearies if you want them to be, though. Unless you two want to keep them human.
Age:17
Appearance: Tall, strong and handsome. 6'2'' straight black hair, and dark brown eyes.
Personality: Strong, fearless, passionate, never strays from his path even if it is the wrong one, rash and reckless. A fine swordsman.
does this work or do you want more in the way of description?
