I think it's closed anyhow, haha.

I'm not going to type up our basic ideas yet just in case we decide to change anything but here is my character bio!

name: judah
author: rhetoric
age: 26 earth years.
species: dark angel.
appearance: Six-foot-three, with dark brown hair that is only a little shaggy, usually kept to just cover his eyebrows. Black irises. Scarred. Hard, sharp, stoic features. Perpetual five-o'clock shadow. Muscular but lean.


pretty much just the bio i had for him in Apocalyptica but i think it'll adapt perfectly :)

lol thanks! and yes, sort of. We decided to do the Angels thing, and that there would be some kind of lottery in heaven where Angels that wished to join the ever-growing battle on earth (against Demons) could put in their names and maybe get to go. Judah submits his name and gets in and I think you mentioned having your character be the girl on Earth that he finds and falls for?

I know it was based on the red string of destiny thing (soulmates)

age: 20 years old
species: human
appearance: she's five foot nine, with a slim figure and olive skin tone. dark red hair and large hazel eyes.manages to hide her feelings very well, people rarely know what she's thinking.

that's okay don't worry :)) okay so we have the ideas that there's a battle on earth with demons and whatnot? have you read the demonata series by Darren Shan? they're pretty good and follow roughly the same plot line we discussed (well, the bit about demons anyhow)
is everyone gonna be aware of the demons or are there gonna be a few oblivious individuals? I figure it could follow roughly the same rules of a zombie apocalypse almost, the fact that humans are being killed (not being brought back to life, although it does mention that once in the Demonata series and we could bring it in if you want)

lol well i've never done a zombie story so maybe later on we can consider it as a way to further develop the story if we need to. I haven't read those books, actually, this is the first I'm hearing of them I think. I'll have to check it out :)

But I was kind of thinking we could do it the way most people have done vampires - which is to say that SOME people know the demons exist and catch on to the strange and sudden deaths of humans but most people just think crime is on the rise, etc etc, but that gradually all the killing becomes too obvious and people start catching on in mass groups. what do you think? it will give us time to develop things and we can pretty much raise the tension any time we want.

i'm really considering the zombie thing for later on in the story - like, when everyone thinks things are calming down and the war is going to end soon or something? and then the demons are just like "BAM! Now we have an army of the undead and you're all exhausted."

Yeah I really like that idea, it could give it a nice, dramatic twist. You should definitely check the books out! They're really good. :)) Very sad in some parts though haha.
I also like the idea of some humans being oblivious to the demons. You could also have a couple of characters like hardcore demon killers and then those that are your normal everyday people who are forced to fight and become both physically and mentally stronger. :)

Right! Having most of the world somewhat niave and blinded to the reality opens up a lot of character room :) So what should we call it?

I really like The Edge of Heaven and The Lottery. The others are good as well, but those two are my favourites. Which one do you reckon we should go for

lol it doesn't matter to me i'm kind of indifferent about them all haha. i hate titles. it took me almost 2 years to get the one for my book right haha
