im doing my bio now :) ill try post it soon :)
ok this is all i have done for now cos i have to go to bed to get up for work tomorrow :/
i havent decided on weapons or my particular role just yet but ive everything else sorted :) hope its ok

Name: John "Artic" Smith
Nationality: Irish
Description: 26 years old. Average height. Short brown hair and eyes. Well built. Scar on right shoulder from a through and through years previous.
Personality: Calm and calculating, even under pressure, to the point of being seen as being cold and heartless (hence the nickname - Artic). Obsessed with his weapons, i.e weapon choice and maintenance.
History: Applied for, and achieved, a cadetship for the Irish Defence Forces aged 18. Completed the training 2year training and served on peace keeping missions in Mali for two years. Returned and applied for the Irish Rangers. Passed the gruelling training top of the class. Served in Iraq and Afghanistan on covert ops for the U.S while with the Rangers, there are no records of these missions so no medals could be awarded but is highly commended by the Irish Rangers. Trained with assault rifles, snipers, pistols, rocket launchers, GPMG's, hand-to-hand combat, diving, climbing, evasion, interrogation, limited explosives training.
BTW the Irish Rangers is the equivalent of the SAS or the SEALs or that kind of thing, just so it makes sense if you didnt know
Okay, I made an edit to my bio. Is weapons specialist a little better? Basically (I mean, obviously most soldiers are weapons specialists, but beyond that) he would have more advanced training with a wider variety of weapons? I really wasn't sure what was expected for role, but is this okay?
Sounds ok to me. He would be like an IT guy except for weapons instead of computers kind of thing?
yeah, exactly. He'd be in on all the latest info on weapons and combat, be able to use generally any conventional weapons he might encounter, fix problems with gear, all that.
Sorry I haven't been active for a couple of days. We're still going for this, right? If so, I'll try to work up a quick plot. I may not get it done tonight, though.

Russ
Yeah, definitely still in!
yeah im still in :) wasnt on for a wekk but im back now :)

im gonna try get someone to join :)
Okay, we are going to have the terrorists weaponizing diseases. Our characters will stumble upon references to this plot. After that, Command will look into it, and we'll end up deployed for something else. Later, Command will reveal that the plot is real, and our characters will get sent to look for more information.

That section will likely be a short undercover assignment. That will give us a target to go after. Of course, we'll end up a step behind for quite a while. Eventually, we'll find a lab facility where they were developing the disease. Unfortunately, someone will be exposed to it (they'll survive). All of us will end up in quarantine.

While we are in quarantine, others will take over the search. After we get out, we will be sent to a location where we are sure the weapon is being stored. And, most of it is being stored there. A sample, large enough to kill everyone in a city the size of NYC will be missing. The conclusion will be locating that sample and destroying it, possibly at the cost of our character's lives.

That's what I have for a plot for this story. Comments, concerns, etc.?

Russ
I like it! Very good. I like the idea that destroying the virus costs our lives (we can't all have fairytale endings, now can we?) Who goes undercover? Everyone? A few people? One person? Just a random question. Anyways, sounds great, I like it, looking forward to getting this started! :)
Well, as far as the undercover portion, we'll probably be in a middle eastern county, so that means that Emily probably won't be the one to go undercover. She can provide overwatch with her sniper rifle.

Russ
Hmm...Okay, thanks. Just curious.
Sorry for my absence, guys. So, how do we want to start this thing off? As in, how are we going to handle the character introductions (both to readers and each other)? We could have each person doing part of a mission, showcasing their specialty, or we could just have them meet each other and then jump into the action. Or, some other method, but those are the only two that came to mind.

Russ
Maybe we should start by showcasing their background just a little? Show them each on prior missions with other task forces, then have a chapter where they meet and get briefed on what they're supposed to be doing, and start the real action from there.
