I should really start double checking my planning stuff before firing it of to you.
The memory portion is going to be explained later on. It's basically a link to the past, plus a partial explanation for why the brothers are really close- as far as Zaharia is concerned, Daren saved his life. It's another character motivation. Neither of the brothers end up in jail.

Zaharia will be in jail because of a busted drug deal, which will add some depth for why he was so angry, not just being drunk. As for everything he's saying to Malukah, it's a mess- he's just trying to set his anger onto the nearest person and the first one he can remember is Malukah as she was the last person he saw.

The Romanian mob part of this is going to be explained in the portion of the story when Malukah is in England. Patience, explanations will be given, I want the readers to have questions and slowly get them answered- it'll add some mystery/tension to the story. Plus, it allows the twists to hit the readers in appropriate sections of the story.
Don't worry Lune, I got this.
Chapter 2 ACTUAL
Malukah wakes up in the morning inside a closet with her mother. Her mother stirs and asks why she's in a closet. Malukah says that her father was having an episode. She keeps to herself, however, that her father had mentioned that some of his friends would be coming that night. Malukah tells her mother to stay put- she sneaks out the closet and finds her father sleeping on a couch. Malukah helps her mother of her feet, takes another look at her head to make sure she was alright- then heads of to school.
(short bit) Malukah is in her Afternoon Social class, daydreaming about what happened the other night, trying to make sense of her father. Her thoughts are interrupted by the teacher kicking her desk, telling her to pay attention.
Skips to her fourth block class, English. Malukah is attempting to pronounce the English alphabet, but she's having difficulty. When the class ends, Baduna says that Malukah has to really start trying or she won't get enough credits to pass high school. Malukah's English teacher catches up to Malukah and gives her a long lecture about how she won't graduate. Pissed, Malukah walks away from the teacher. Baduna tries to apologize for Malukah, gets told to take a walk and follows Malukah. They walk out of the school as the buses pull up to take students home. The two walk to a park and Malukah first helps Baduna with her math. Baduna tries to give Malukah some help in English, slowly teaching her the alphabet. Malukah soon begins to jokingly recite English swear words. Baduna decides to call it a day, realizing that her friend wasn't going to do much more.
Malukah walks back home and is pleased to see her father is not home.

Okay, sounds good. That's a pretty light and happy scene we're going to have =)
BTW, did Daren had that meeting I left off from the first chapter?

Sorry for not being responsive lately Dyerz. I will try my best to get the second chapter by the end of the week. But I cannot promise anything.

Can't wait to see what you have in store for when Daren gets home (if he gets home, that is).
Well, you were kinda hinting that the story was going a bit too dark so I decided it would be a good idea to get people connected with Malukah/Baduna.
Also, I have nothing to do for the week- seriously, I'm unemployed and don't have school, plus the country isn't exactly entertaining... maybe I'll go crazy on that one story I've been sporadicly posting in XD
Yep, Daren had the meeting but the people who came are gone, they left shortly after they arrived.
I look forward to your chapter, plus I'll see if I can get the next chapter planning out so you can set up some forshadowing.
