I was thinking Lucius could be introduced describing the section of the labratory his spirit occupies. I'm thinking it's a bit like a morgue, but the bodies have been butchered during experimentation and dumped quite unceremoniously. And Lucius can just account for what he's seen, appear to be a victim of the butchery himself, give no hint towards being the ringleader, but letting the reader know of the atrocities that have been carried out.
If somebody else wants to start off, that's fine. Just let me know what you think of my idea so I can get working on it (I'm a bit flat out at the moment so ASAP would be awesome).

I'll post a chapter here in the discussion at some point at the weekend, and we can decide whether I should publish it or if we should compile POVs.
I think flasbacks would be a good idea. Or maybe - I know it's been used before but it kinda suits the story I think - there could be videologs made by Lucius, and the other scientists too, recording important events in the past.
You know each flashback can fill in once more peice of the puzzle, this way when the characters meet the reader has a good idea of what is going on.

Skin: Light, grew up in Siberian Russia, did not get outside much.

Short Background: Has spent most of his life studying genetics, since he was a young child he was brilliant. His family was extremely poor and there were not many options for him as a young child. However as the years went on his intelligence began to gain favor with the government. He went to Moscow when he was sixteen to begin his studies into genetics and biology. Since then him as devoted his life to science, he is always trying to better humankind. He believes through science that man will overcome everything. He tends to be a bit absentminded, always focused on his work. He is very anti-social, spending most of his time recanting his formulas and theories. Some believe him to be slightly insane.
