For those interested in outlining and discussing specific ongoing storylines.
Sometimes simply using the comments area to refine a story's plot, sending private messages to co-authors to discuss characters, or updating the author guidance with setting information isn't quite enough.
If you have an elaborate, complex tale — be it solo or collaborative — come by the Planning & Brainstorming group to storyboard, outline, annotate, draft, and discuss your work's plot, characters, setting, history, intrigue, or anything that comes to mind.
Please try and keep all discussion topics you create centered around a single work!
Note: The intention is to move all story-related discussions in this group into "Story Wikis" (a new feature, currently in planning) down the road, so please use this group instead of posting new works to discuss backstory/characters/story meta-information.
Is it my turn, then, to write? Or is it @Skooch's?
So the order right now is...
Firebird
Skooch
Brad
That sound okay?
Oh and what were the braids for???
Oh, and about the braids...
I'm not telling! [cue evil laughter] You'll have to be patient and wait for the chapter where it will all be explained... :D
I'm telling you, there are many surprises concerning my character. The braid thing is only the beginning!
Anyways, i just posted a chapter! =)
No, don't worry, Brad hasn't bothered us at all, he was cool. Actually, Brad was supposed to post a chapter (the first) next, which is really ironic...
First you need to know that Fern's pod fought with another pod of merfolk for many years. But one day, they managed to come to an agreement, the two joining to form a bigger pod.
However, in that process, things were exchanged, offers were made... you get the drift. In the end, Fern's father, a sort of general for his people, agreed to promise him, his only son, to another merman's (the one responsible for the other pod) youngest, still unmarried, daughter.
So there you have it. Fern has those braids because he was promised to someone. In a few years, he will have to marry this girl (who is considered a goddess among her people because of her appearance).
Problem is, Fern doesn't love her and she ... well, you'll see it when I write the chapter were he goes to visit her.
