Spook and I have been having some regular discussions via Spook's profile about Ash and Morgan. Then I realized that means Moon and Anna are being left in the dark and so the only way I could think of to fix it was to create a topic in the Collaborative Corner Group.
Now we can discus all our ideas and keep eachother up todate on what we're thinking, before we go a writing. Plus it gives me a place to put down all the spontanious ideas I get to let you all mull over and I hope you all can do the same.
I'm sorry if it seems a bit much but: I'm a very organized person; I hate dramma/conflict; and I know communication is key to creating great things.

I'll be posting the important things that Spook and I have discussed, just as soon as I"ve let you all know about this topic (plus I don't want this post to get too long.

My current notes:
1. Currently Morgan deosn't know exactly how she feels about Ash, she's just drawn to him. If he makes any romantic advances she'll hesitatingly accept them.
2. If anyone talks to Pete Junior about Morgan, Petey will claim Morgan is his girlfriend. If anyone asks Morgan about that, her face will contort with disgust, she'll shudder before saying how creepy Petey is and that he's been like that since she tended to his scrapped knee when he was 16 and she 13.
3. Petey still idolizes Ghost Wheeler (still has an autographed photo from the show he attended when he was 3)
4. Pete Senior like Mike because the two of them used to talk bike shop stuff when Mike was around courting Serena.
5. Serena separated from George when Morgan was 6 but the divorce didn't go through until she was 8. At that time Serena moved back to her home town (but not in with her mother) and began homeschooling Morgan and taking her 'to work'.

My current plot thought:
1. Pondering whether the mother managed to kill the baby Serena was delivering, or if the Van Helsing family managed to kidnap it. (The child would now be 4 or 5, going by Moon's statement of the Bus warping time)

Ooh, cool... this feels so, exclusive, XD
Had a new idea just now that I think I can put in to help clear up some of your thoughts.
P'raps while in his semi-dead state, Ash could have a sort of vision of the child in his family's possesion. So perhaps when (and if) he wakes up, he could tell whoever's in the vicinity... just a thought, doesn't have to be used if it's no good...

Hm.. interesting. If we gove with the baby being alive, then I need to edit Serena's death slightly, maybe mention that the baby's body was never found... Unless the police kept that fact under wraps.
(And if Morgan tried to verify it with the police files...
"I was the first person to the scene of the crime, what do you mean I can't see the file? - Sorry miss, it's marked top secret, unless you got that kind of clearance, I can't show it to you. - Argh! - Morgan storms off"
...)

Oh, thought spark: Maybe Ash doesn't have a vision, maybe he wonders why the demon was willing to kill him if he's the last of the line. Wouldn't his fmaily want him at all cost if he's the last - that combined with Morgan's knoledge that she can't remember seeing a baby's body in the room - could sparke the realization that the Van Helsing's must have the child.

Yes yes, that's a better idea... 'specially as methinks he's too busy fighting for his life to start having visions, XD

Good plan, now, lets get this show on the road!!!

I'm going to note something right now, that I've been discovering about how I write:

I like my characters to have use their brains to figure things out. I give them clues and hints to help put things together. I want the reader to think with them. And maybe the reader figures it out before the character does, or maybe they go OH right with the character. I do this, because that's the kind of story I enjoy reading.

((That's aslo why I asked Moon to re-do Gloria's Dream - thank you Moon))

So know you all know a little more about where I'm coming from.

Okay - so next part shall be the Rescue

@Anna
I'd love for it to be from Mike's point of view, but I understand if you don't have time Anna. Just let me kow and I'll do something from Haddie's point of view. She'll have to lead him through the woods since he doesn't know the way. (She'll aslo be slowing him down slightly, being an elderly lady and all.)

@Moon
Morgan will be calling Gloria as soon as she's able - or if Gloria gets too ancy she could always head down to Morgan's with baby in tow.

So I had a change to day dream a bit this eveing - I'm going to jot my notes down here as my hubby has the TV going and that totally disrupts my writing (i So want a net book or something) anywho:

Mike gets to Devil's tower first, calling for Morgan, she answer weekly at first, but he's lending her strength. Then he sees Ash. Mrs. B. calls for help and he goes over to get her up and the (large) First Aid kit she insisted on brining. Morgan is syphoning using every bit of extra strength to Ash so she doesn't want to break contact with him. Mrs. B (she is a fully trained nurse) They make a stretcher (becasue there's no cell signal up there and no nearby hospital will land on Devil's Flat - something evil happened there a long time ago, but the Flat's not talking to me - yet) to get Ash down to Mrs. B's house. He set up on the couch and Morgan sits on the floor by his head babbling and folding paper cranes. Probably a good place for him to wake up and stuff...

I can write the trip though the woods, but I'd like really like Anna to.... *pretty please*

This is a good idea Elo.
I have some questions about Serena's death. Was it a vampire, or a van Helsing demon that killed the mother and Serena and maybe the child? If it is a demon sent by the Van Helsings, why kill the mother? Was she a Vampire? According to everything I've read or seen on TV, vampires can't conceive, because they're dead, well undead.

Now about Gloria. I haven't said too much about Gloria's personality, or about her baby's father. Here's some things that I'd like your characters to know about, because it will affect them.

Gloria told Morgan about most of her life, but she never mentioned the baby's father. If you read the chapter 'Thalion' in the story the Scrapbook, it goes into detail about Gloria's Elven lover, Thalion.

Only Gloria's Aunt and Uncle know that Sarah Morgan's father is an Elf. Gloria believes that he was killed defending Gloria and their unborn child, but I'm thinking now that he isn't dead. He wasn't quite dead when he was carried away. I haven' decided who carried him away yet.

Sarah Morgan's Elven grandparents are keeping an eye on her, to keep her safe. Gloria has seen fleeting traces of their auras, and she can feel their presence. I'll have to do some research to see what powers Elves generally have. I'm talking about the type of Elves from The Lord of the Ring, not the type that run Santa's workshop.

Gloria is psychic. As well as seeing auras, she has premonitions while she's awake, and her most realistic dreams often come true, or did already happen in the past, but she wouldn't have known about those circumstances till she had those dreams.

There's a question I'd like to ask you Elo. What if Gloria, being psychic has a dream about what happen to Serena. Since she will see it as an observer, she might be able to interpret it better. what do you think of that idea?

Let me know when you want Gloria's input.

Thank you Moon. Now lets see if I can answer some of your questions.

About Serena's the Woman and the Babe:
It was the Van Helsing Demon (or at least the one Ash was fighting and Morgan burned) that killed Serena and the woman. Aside from having conceived a child with a Van Helsing, the woman is not supernatural. She was; however, slightly abnormal. Her parents, stout catholics, would not let her get an abortion. When she started trying to self abort and continualy spoke of people coming for her child they commited her to the insane asylum. They had forbidden her to reveice sedation durring the birth so that she could pay for her sin of having a child out of wedlock. Once the woman went into labor Serena realized that one the woman was in extreem pain, and two the placenta was blocking the birth canal. The deamon, would, given the choice, have taken the child and it's mother, but neither Serena nor the woman were going to give up the child to the deamon, so he ended up ripping the babe from its mother and taking it to... where ever the Van Helsings live. (Spook painted a nasty picture of this demon in Last of the Line)

Side note: Like Gloria, Haddie Baker also has premenitions though hers are generally much more vague, giving her just enough information to act. They are stronger when it comes to someone she cares about. (This is toally based upon my Grandmother.)

I think it would be okay For Gloria to have a dream about Serena's death - but it shouldn't happen until the right time - like when Ash and Morgan start talking about the demon and realize that maybe Ash isn't the last of the line. I also think Gloria should be with them when she has the dream, its not really something you want to talk about over the phone (in my opinion).

More on Haddie: She's part Native America, perhaps not half, but she's got more Native American traits than anything else. She can walk in the woods without cracking a twig if she wants to. She's also a nurse and still works in the ER or as an EMT when she can. Unfortunately she's getting older and can't lift as much as she used to, but she keeps refusing to take a desk job (stuborn old woman). Her sature is stout, but only because she's shrunk slightly with age. She's got a belly laugh and a loud voice. Most people enjoy her company, but heaven help you if you get on her wrong side. She's got a mind of what's good and right and she sticks to it and defends it, loudly. She trusts in God and fully belives in forgiveness. She may have been dissapointed with Mike, but he is still Morgan's father; therefore, he has a right to see and get to know his daughter. Plus she awlays did like him.

Thanks Elo. That clears it all up.
Where exactly does Morgan live, or would you rather leave it vague? Did you want Gloria to live far away, or just a short helicopter ride away? Gloria's aunt and uncle are rich, and he has his own helicoptor. He as a small landing strip and Heliopad on their estate, which is on their own island. I prefer not to be too specific about where the island is.

Lets see... Morgan lives in the Midwest. Perhaps up near the Dakotah's? But I'd rather not be too specific.

Devil's Flat is, afterall named after Devil's Tower, which is what Spook's description in Last of the Line made me think of. There's probably a decent sized city around, given that the farms are being bought up for developing. Everyone wants to live in the 'country' with easy city conveniance and then they complain that the conveniance is to far away... No, I did not grow up in a torist town and have to deal with torists wondering why they couldn't get the same posh stuff they could in the city and suburbs... nope, not I *grin*

Back on subject. Gloria would likely have to take a helicpoter to visit Morgan. There's a large paddock out back that isn't used since they no longer have horses, where the helicopter can land. And at some point I think we should all go visit Gloria (oooh island living! *giggle*)

Thanks for your addition Anna. That actually plays really well into my next chapter from Morgan's point of view (which is already writen. I'll post it in a little bit). I have no problems keeping going with Haddie for that side of the story. I hope you feel better soon!

Go? I have Gone! Okay Spook when do you want Ash to wake up... presuming he IS going to wake up. :}

Morgan's been feeding him energy to help his body heal his injuries and Haddie, as I said, is an ER nurse, so she knows how to fixe. IN fact I think she and Mike are debating on calling the Hospital or not (how do you explain demon wounds?).

Of course, Morgan should probably be moved to her room. She's really exausted, or maybe they just lay her down by the couch and cover her up.. I don't know. I don't know what kind of reaction Mike will have towards Ash though.

Anna, if you can give ideas on the things Mike might like to say to Ash, even if you're not up to writing it, that would be helpful. (or to Morgan or Gloria or Mrs. B)

About this group

For those interested in outlining and discussing specific ongoing storylines.

Sometimes simply using the comments area to refine a story's plot, sending private messages to co-authors to discuss characters, or updating the author guidance with setting information isn't quite enough.

If you have an elaborate, complex tale — be it solo or collaborative — come by the Planning & Brainstorming group to storyboard, outline, annotate, draft, and discuss your work's plot, characters, setting, history, intrigue, or anything that comes to mind.

Please try and keep all discussion topics you create centered around a single work!

Note: The intention is to move all story-related discussions in this group into "Story Wikis" (a new feature, currently in planning) down the road, so please use this group instead of posting new works to discuss backstory/characters/story meta-information.
