Planning & Brainstorming

So far we've got a pinch of what the story is going to be about. Now to develop the plot... :D

Since this is my first time writing vampire story, I haven't got much ideas as to the plot. Even if I did, it would be mostly cliche. XD If you've got anything, shoot! :D

okay :DD did you want to make it sort of Lost Boys-ish, or did you want to stray away from that because you haven't seen it? Lost Boys has the traditional blood sucking scary vamps. :}

Well I read the plot of Lost Boys on wikipedia and it sounds pretty good. But if we're aiming at scary vampires as part of the story, how will we make them sound like the good guys if we're writing in their view? It is a challenge and we still need to figure the details out for the love part. :D

Perhaps what they've been doing for so long is normal to them; they don't see anything wrong with it. They still interact with humans, but obvs when they're thirsty/hungry they'll need to feed. :}
Shall we aim for the traditional vampire/human love story? Or a vampire/vampire. Or possibly even vampire/vampire hunter :P

Yes that does make much more sense now. :D And yet, they're selfish in a way. Backstabbing blood suckers. XD

Huh, the vampire/vampire hunter sounds interesting. But the vampire hunter would be human. :D I suppose if we were doing a vampire/vampire story we could make it so two different types of vampires or vampires from different tribes meet. And the way they feed is different from each other. XD But I suppose the vampire/vampire hunter would go well too. What do you vote for? :P

That's okay :) It's just basically this guy in it, Gabriel, and he has to sustain off the life force of others, sort of like a psychic vampire. Maybe that could be one of the types of vampires? Like, we have the sanguinarian or whatever they're called, who drink blood, and then others who sustain off emotions, life forces, dreams etc :) Just to add a bit of a twist

Cool yeah! That would be fun to write. Maybe we could make the girl an empathic vampire who draws energy out of the emotions. Empathic vampires are also said to have healing powers. :D And the boy could be a sanguinarian who meets her. Maybe they could be rival tribes because her group doesnt like those who feed by consuming blood. She tries to change him by manipulating his emotions. From there, I don't know where to go. :D

Ooooh I like that idea! Kind of like a twist on a Romeo and Juliet type tale :P Maybe they're destined to hate each other?

Yes! I've finally made myself useful. :P

Yeah, that would actually be cool if they don't end up together. Instead of the usual "happily ever after" we could make it non-clice with the seperation at the end. :D Or death could happen. :D

Well i can write the guy in that case. I'm actually starting to enjoy writing male characters. :D

Any ideas for the title?

heheh I like a dramatic ending! Okay sounds good to me. :} So maybe she has to kill him, but it's totally unexpected? Like they fall in love and everyone thinks it's gonna be all la-di-dah and then she's just like *kills* (obviously in a much more heart-wrenching way) :')
