I've noticed that the majority of threads that come up here are "can you read my story" threads. I know new members are just hoping to get noticed, but I think this discussion board can be freed up for other discussions. So, if you want someone to read your story, leave a post on this thread, and anyone who's looking to help us newbies out can check out the latest posts here!

Make sure to post a SHORT description of your story/poem, and leave a link.

I'll start us off:

__________________________________________________________________________________

Is it an Idol?

"There's a thin line between chasing your dreams and being selfish. Have I just crossed the line?"

This story focuses on three extremely different aspiring celebrities who face their own unique struggles as they experience the dark underbelly of the Japanese entertainment industry.

Jae, a young Korean born to a musically inclined family, has been stifled by her parents' overbearing musical preferences, and finally decides to try her hand at breaking into the K-pop industry, only to be brutally rejected. Has she reached a dead end?

Hiro, an underworked actor struggles to find work where he can, and despite his optimistic outlook he can feel the beginnings of regret stirring in his heart. Will he turn his back on the career he once pursued with passion?

Azami, the veteran of the idol industry at the tender age of twelve, feels like the smile that's been plastered on her face day in and day out is wearing out. Is her mask about to crack?

Follow these three as their paths intertwine, pulled by the strings of fate.

When he discovers a plot between the three major Unholy factions, he is forced to leave his solitary life, and with the help of a few stragglers he picks up, he must stop the plans of the Unholy, all the while being pursued by an evil spirit."

'Sup.

Prayer For A Loser, Mantra For The Weak is a poem I wrote to express some feelings I had. Y'can read it or ignore it, or even like it if you want.

There is swearing, though, I should warn you.

Nice idea.

I'm writing a story, but it's really more for fun. The idea is that whenever I decide add a new chapter, I make up the plot on the spot, not really caring about whether it makes sense or not.

It's got about 2 chapters as of now.

Death Wish: A Young Reporter (his name is David) manages to land an interview with a mysterious young woman who the media has dubbed Death Wish. Though she has no powers and seems just like any other person she's basically become the city's hope. She's sarcastic, spastic, and the relationship between her and David is yet to be revealed but there's definitely more to it than meets the eye, whether David realizes it or not.

This story is told both through the fast paced, typically very sarcastic and frustrating, interview between the highly nervous David and the secretive Death Wish (he can't even get her to give him any kind of real name, for example) and through the stories Death Wish decides to tell about her childhood and how she became who she is.

It's good, I promise. Funny. It's going to get dramatic. I try to post a chapter every day. I really need more comments and support to keep it going!

A short story, split into three chapters, of how a lady is now no longer lonely.

@zippolita: it would be easier to find your story if you post a link to it, like this: http://www.protagonize.com/story/lonely-lady

The more convenient it is for people to find your story, the more likely they are to read it!

I've been writing this really, really long story for the last year or so and I'm wanting some feedback on it.

It's all about a girl with amnesia, which I tried to handle as best I could. It's got a fantasy setting, with some romance and crazy teenagers.

First Story - It's only the first chapter but see what you think?

It comes from 'Memoirs' that led to events surrounding fantasy in a sort of dark 'Chronicles of Narnia'

OK hey guys! 'New' story needing more comments/critique/ratings

The Necklace -
The necklace is an ancient talisman that only comes to those with great power. It opens their world to one of magic, good and evil and the battle for supremecy. The one who has the necklace is key in the battle between good and evil. But as well as great power, the necklace has one condition. It will only leave the wearer when they are dead. Only then will it seek out a new warrior.

Hi all - any chance of a critique?

http://www.protagonize.com/story/an-acolyte

Especially regarding grammar (british style), and suggestions for a better title would be appreciated :)
(see guidance)

It's been filtered by Litopia standards (ugh) and is the new and shiny MkII, which I've posted seperately for the moment - just until people decide which is better.
