But I've still got something like 13k to go.
I'm planning on going back to the beginning and fleshing out some scenes, putting in some more description and the like.
I was just wondering if anyone is/has been in this position and could give me any tips on how to proceed... I'm just not quite sure what I should do next!
Thanks everyone =]

Or create another scene in the middle to heighten the conflict or tension. Perhaps an idea you had and rejected during your outline process. It might be worth revisiting.
Good Luck

Going back to the beginning and fleshing out the scenes was exactly what I was going to do first if it happens.
Also, since I did not exactly describe out my characters, location, or "time" while dashing through these chapters, I was going to take the time at the end of my story to detail that out, adding to my word count, yes, but also laying extra groundwork to make sure that when I do go back to edit, I have a consistent grasp of the details throughout my entire work.
GL!
Thanks, and good luck to you too!

What I've started doing is actually writing another story I had up my sleeve anyway - just getting inside the characters heads and so on... I might write a couple of extra scenes for 'The Lady Beatrix' as well, to flesh out events and stuff, but it's quite hard to know what needs doing because I haven't edited it yet. At all...
Good luck!
