Write-ins are so much fun :D I got 50k.
You are possibly the fastest writer I have ever known! I don't understand how you managed to complete that so fast.
xxx
@dottylotti - Neither do I. That, and school as well! Write-in today up in London - very motivating and I won a sticker which is now on my laptop :)
SO MANY TICTACS....
I haven't had any chances to got to a write-in, but I so want to!
:} Elorithryn
Congrats, girl. You're too fast :)

@Elo - Quite a bit of mine is gonna go. Like "The nights were getting colder by the day". Hmm. Oh, and "It just about summed up her general attitude to rules in general." NaNoisms mucho!
@TheJackster - See, I'm in love with my plot, so that's not gonna happen to me! It's a shame. It would be nice if you joined next year ... but don't quit!
@Ritu - Thank you :) But don't worry, you'll get there in the end ... hopefully.
@DevinEdward - Good for you! You're ahead of this lot, that's for sure...
*grin*

I'm not talking about commitment here. I"m talking about actual free time that I have without making any extra like you just stated you did.
I am serious when I state I thought I would have more free time once I was out of school and had a real job. And I am serious when I say that I actually don't, and didn't even before I had kids.
Our perspectives are different Del. that is all.
:} Elorithryn
Del brain screwed by too much writing. Too many tictacs. Del die....
hm, wait, wait, wait, no *elo looks crest fallen* I can't turn that into a Dr. Suess rhyme, darn.
I wish I could ask him how long it took to write a book like Cat in the Hat, because it's it shear brilliance that I could never hope to emulate no matter how hard I try. *sigh*
But in all seriousness Del, take the anti tictac pill and LIVE!

"I really wish people would stop looking over Author's shoulder while she's trying to write," said Niall, and Siofra started laughing, not least because the utter seriousness of his comment and the way it was written seemed strangely humourous. The fourth wall, somewhere in the land of hypothetical building, crashed to the ground.
Siofra peered out from behind the pile of rubble. "Is it safe to come out now?" she asked, hoping they would be allowed to scrap that whole paragraph.
So instead of writing on Sunday night, or any of my free time on Monday... I ended up taking 5 hours out of my day on yesterday just to go and get the computer and bring it back home. :-( I am now 8k words behind and have lost considerable momentum!
