Already got an idea?

Already got an idea?

I was just wondering if I was a bit crazy because I already have an idea, characters, scenes and loads of stuff planned out :L Does anyone else know what they're going to do already?

-Mollie1994-
Sure!

Elorithryn is being the mega-planner and is down to tiny details, ditto with SpookOfNight. I'm a little way behind but I've worked out the first four chapters or so and I have a good stock of characters, though my later plot isn't quite complete.

On the other hand, Raina and Azoth, as far as I know, haven't planned at all. And last year I signed up on the 7th November with no plot, no characters: not even a genre! But then I managed to finish after just fifteen days, so ...

Don't worry, you're not crazy. But sometimes having a little bit of slack is better for NaNo since you don't end up getting stuck in a hole--you can just make it up.
Yeah I haven't done it all. I signed up about a week ago because I only just found out what it was and I threw myself into it... Only now I've become kind of discouraged from writing :( Damn hater-raters. But I've set out all my main characters and the whole idea of the story is set in stone :L

Haha, fifteen days?! That's insane. Congratulations!
Thanks. It was pretty mental. The story is here:

It's pretty crazy!

Don't be discouraged. We all get that sometimes. In fact, it's the best thing about NaNo: you write without thinking about it, without worrying, without editing ... I'd never finished anything before I did it and yet now I've written, like, five novels.
I have a basic idea but no plot really, a couple of details on the main characters but that's it. Then again I have the cover and the sound track haha.
A soundtrack? Fun! I might try that some time.
Haha, I have read a lot of things in which people have said about how having a list of songs to play helps them to write, it sounds good but I write at night and like my music loud :D
Couldn't you use headphones? That's what I did this morning, because my sister in the room next door was still asleep. I plugged my headphones into my laptop and turned it up :D
Yeah I could only my over-ear ones are broken and the only working in hear ones I have are massive :L but hopefully I will get some new ones :D But also, with headphones means I can't hear if my mum is getting up. And if I dont hear I cant hide my laptop and it gets taken away XD
That's a shame ... Hmm. Could you try having the music quieter, and see if it helps at all? Even quietly, music is epic.
Yeah, I suppose. I do love music :D
I'm really looking forward to NaNo!!
:D :D :D
So am I! I can't wait. Hopefully it will go as well as last year, although that was when I was taking 75 minutes dancing a week, not 5 1/2 hours, so this could be a little tricky ... :/
Well, Del beat me to the punch here but I too have planned madly for NaNo ... look at my google history for my research and you'd think I was going to torture someone (I am, but that doesn't count xD)

Graaaah, it's getting closer... and I have my GCSE Mock exams in the same month!!! I'm going to die.... *giggles hysterically*
Ouch :L Good luck with the mocks AND NaNo!
Thanks! .... I'm definitely going to need it xD
You'll be fine if you actually get on with writing instead of commenting ;) Since I started commenting so much my posting stats have gone down.

By the way, Spook, did you see my comments on your blog? I was wondering if you could return the favour...
Comments? On my blog?

I must see these...
Yep. And I have a new blog. But I daresay you'll work that out soon enough.
Found it. Wrote on it. Am happy now.
I am probably going to go blindly into this NaNoWriMo... as well, it is kind of my first one I have actually participated in.

I tend to find, that even if I have all knowledge of events, prior hand, and try to plan it, but have never done the event once--I still screw up, due to not entirely understand the culture around the events.

So, I do it the first time, as a dry run--then after that, planning tends to work out just fine--the first time... usually I just look really silly when I do what I planned.
