Collaborative Flash Tie-in:

There is an event. A single action that triggers multiple flash stories. Like a gunshot in a quiet suburban neighborhood, a bomb in a busy market place, or a strange light in the sky viewed by many witnesses. The flash stories should always start with the action and can be presented from different perspectives and tenses.
Okay, I'm in! Have you started the tread?
No, I haven't. I was just starting a thread of possible Flash Fiction Exercises we could work on. If you start one wicked I'll join in the fun.

Do let me know when you start one, guys. This sounds like fun. :)
I guess I will try to think of a great mass event. I am not a big destruction maker, more of a lover... lol... but I will do my best. :)
It definetly sounds like loads of fun. So would we pick an event and then write a flash fiction piece on it?

That definetly sounds cool :)

What if it was apocalyptic? OR something that they hear on the news??

But wait . . . how would we make it a collab?
The first person picks an event, opens the flash with that event and writes their character's interplay and resolution. The next chapter, another author opens with the same, very first event and resolves their end. And so on, and so forth. Authors can post multiple chapters, each a separate story. It's not a contest, it's an exercise. And the event doesn't have to be destructive per se, just overwhelmingly significant. The closing of a local hangout, the first day of school, the maiden voyage of a cruise liner, the discovery of a new island by a passenger ferry.
Huh, I like this. I'm definetly interested, but I think I'll wait till I see a few, since I don't100% understand it yet.
Anyone on here watching the ABC series Flash Forward? Reminds me a lot of the thread going on here.
Oh my gosh!! YES!!!! I understand what you're saying . . . :)

I don't watch it though, I've only seen 2 episodes.
Ok, here's the collaborative flash fiction thread: The Red Box.

http://www.protagonize.com/story/collaborative-flash-the-red-box

Each chapter you add is a separate flash story, all relating to a common event.
In this case it is the arrival of a red box in every occupied household on the planet. Inside the box varies from significance and value, for each member of that household.
