Compose a flash fiction piece of 300 - 1,000 words in length. The piece must adhere to the characteristics of flash fiction -- you must have a protagonist and a conflict, although whether or not this conflict is resolved is up to you. Your last and most important rule is that it must be written from the first-person point of view of the opposite sex.
You have until December 18th to enter. Write your entry as you would any other story on Protagonize, and then come back here and provide the link in a comment so that we can read it.
I will be announcing the winner on December 19th. Good luck! :D
And I'm also not entirely sure what a protagonist is :S
*blushes in emabarassment*
A protagonist is the central hero of a story. That would make an antagonist the villain of sorts.
Stories can be told from three different perspectives: 1st person (I, We); 2nd person (You); or 3rd person (He, She, They, It).
For the purpose of this story, you have to write the story as if you were someone of the opposite sex, from their point of view. For example, I'm a girl (last time I checked, anyways :p), so my story will be from the perspective of a guy told in 1st person. Here's a dumb example of a sentence that could start off a story told by a girl in the voice of a guy: Dude, I couldn't believe my eyes when she walked in the door. She was like the answer to a prayer.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
I can't wait to read your entries! :)
Is there any topic or theme we have to follow?
I'm in..
I'll think about it..
@ElshaHawk: Yayz! Can't wait to read your story. :)
Oh wait, if we say the kind of stuff like ElshaHawk did as in Curvy hips and stuff, does that mean it can be Mature, or preferably not?
Perfect excuse to write the next chapter in a story I'd semi-abandoned.
I'm in :D
I can not wait.
Here's my entry!
