Haha, I have not yet seen your work, I will check it out veeeery soon though. Beware, I'm a hard rater . . .

JUST KIDDING!!!!

I'm sure it's fantastic!
Guess I should also say hello. I joined yesterday. I have a protagonize story setup for what I call "Grand Grands", hoping to get 1000 short stories of 1000 words exactly. They can be vignettes, flash, or whatever fits short of poetry.

First one's done!
If you have one already, post it up!

The Most Random Thing Ever
It's super fun and you just have to look over the thing where CharlieRoberts, RoseKathryns and I came up with it, it'll make it alot easier to understand!
Hey, decided I'd join because this group sounds fun :) plus I'm always up for trying something a bit different.

I tend to start stories and not finish them because i've already come up with about five different ideas....so this group should be ideal for me....

I'd very much like to attempt it anywaays :P

:D x

@SomebodysAngel I'm the same way with my writing -- stopping and starting all the time. That's why I love flash fiction so much -- I don't have to commit to writing something I know I won't finish. Welcome to the group! I look forward to your writing. :)
Hello all. I'm new to Protagonize, but I've been doing a bit of flash fiction-esque writing on my blog for a while now (picked up one of those 100 one-word prompts lists a while back to kick some of my characters around with...I've only completed about 17 of them). My work for those has run from a few hundred words to a max. of around 3,000.

Anyway, figured I'd join this group because new inspiration is always good, and short fiction seems to be my forte (since it's mostly what I have time for these days).
Hi! I've been dabbling in flash fiction recently. Not sure how good I am at it but it sure is fun to write. Glad to be a part of this group.

@StrawBarry Welcome to the group! :) Flash Fiction is a blast to write because it's commitment-free. Plus it's a great exercise to help you work on being more succinct in your writing. Another great website I use to help me practice my Flash Fiction is Ficly (http://ficly.com). Each piece on Ficly cannot exceed 1024 characters, which may sound cruel, but I really think it has helped me be more concise. I'm more cautious with my word choices now.
Thanks for the welcome I may check out that sight. My greatest issue I feel is not in word count but getting all the necessary elements in.
New to the group! Hello everybody!

@Cathleen Welcome! The group is a bit quiet at the moment because I'm currently wrapping up the end of the school year (I teach high school students), but you can expect new challenges and posts very soon! :-)
@AnaCristina Thanks! Actually, this speed is perfect for me to become acquainted with this site! :) I have checked out most of the groups, and I am slowly posting flash fiction of mine. I am also very busy, so I am not at all deterred by the quietness of the site. :)

Hi Emily! Welcome to the group. :-)

Flash fiction is my favorite genre to read/write because I think it makes for much more intense pieces. It's like the compression makes the emotions somehow more concentrated.

I've been a bit remiss in posting writing challenges and what-not, since the school year just ramped up again (I teach high school English), but I hope to get back on the ball soon!
