Looking for a serious assessment of your work? Drop by and post it up for review and critique!
Note: Please read the group rules before posting in the discussions!
The Critiques Wanted group is aimed at authors who are looking for serious, detailed critiques and assessments of their work. If you think you've got a great piece of writing, gather up your courage and post it here for review.
If you're just looking for a quick pat on the back, or simply for someone to "read my story", this may not be the group for you. Instead, you'll be best served if you really want some solid discussion regarding what you're doing right or wrong, and how you can improve your writing, both technically and stylistically.
Not for the faint of heart! :)
1) Story Development; mine is a fantasy, action / adventure but it's a slow and steady pace dstory, first giving character background or introducting the main character's past. I wanted to know like if it's too slow paced? does it need to be speed up? or just more interesting more action/hooks?
2) Dialogue; at first i wanted to make this world, where they have kind of an aussie accent, since it's a bit medevil like I tried to ster away from the classic english. But it's a bit weak. Most I want to know your thoughts on the character's dailogue not only the accent but how i can improve, I think that's my greatest weakness.
