I think the first thing we should do is decide what struggle our characters will be facing throughout the story. Please no repeats! Then we can move onto bios and such....

I was thinking some sort of physical struggle for mine.

I'm debating between being blind or being a mute. Both would be very interesting to write about....

Okay so we've determined that my character is going to be a foreign exchange student yes? What about she/he has a family that is torn apart - maybe a stepfather/stepmother who doesn't treat her/him right and she/he self-harms? If that's too much of a cliche, we can change that!

I was thinking that my character could be exactly like me - *seemingly* strong on the outside, but on the inside, lots of psychological messed-up-ness. :P Would that be okay? As in, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and codependency. :)

And is this going to be a Christian collab? That's what I was assuming, but I could be wrong. :)

It would be so cool if our characters were somehow related to us in a way. Mine would be alike in the manner that my family is messed up as well. xD Drawing in our own experiences would make it really good!! Only if you guys want to though.

And cass - sounds brilliant to me!

Trish, can my girl's family be the family that your girl stays with? If that makes any sense - it was horribly phrased, and I don't feel like correcting it. :P

Do you mean like a visiting family or the new stepfather/stepmother type family? xD And I'm thinking of making my character a guy!

If that's alright with my character being a guy with you all I mean. ;D

Wow! You guys are so excited for this! Yes, this is a Christian Collab, being in the sense that througout our character's struggles, we experience faith and hope. Trish, yes, your character can be a guy if you'd like. Cassandra, I have no problems with your character being part of the host family for Trish's. I think having our characters relate to ourselves is brilliant! While I'm okay with emotional problems, I'd prefer something physical, such as being mute or blind. Sorry for any inconvience!

So should there be some sort of a connection between ALL our characters??? I mean, other then them being in the same school - should they may be in the same class, or part of the school choir or school club? Or MAYBE they meet at church!!

I know I'm not a part of this collab, but for one: it sounds amazing, and two if you guys want any help at all just tell me and I might be able to give you an idea for a character. :) Can't wait for this :D

Trish, I love the idea that all our characters are connected somehow! Hmmm, I quite like the idea of them meeting at church, or a church related event....If you guys have any other thoughts on how you think we should meet, please share them! Okay, so I know LDT is going to be mute (correct me if I'm wrong, sis). Anyone else know what sort of physical problem they're considering??

For me, I'm considering having my character either be pregnant or semi-permanently paralyzed from a terrible car accident. I'm leaning more towards option 2, but can someone please strongly consider being pregnant?? I'd love to read something from that perspective. :) Once we get the physical struggle down, we ca move on to bios!

P.S. We can just say that messed up families is a given, if you'd like.

Well seeing as I'm a male, I can't be pregnant. xD Hmm...what about my character is...suffering from a disease?! Or that's too dramatic...I really don't know. xD

Yeah, sis, my character was planning on being mute. Though I don't think she would be born that way. *gasps*

What if her father is, like, insane. Her mother abandon her when she was young so she grew up in an abusive relationship with her father. Her father got angry one night and attacked her, slitting her throat with a knife which permanately damaged her vocal chords.

And if that's too pyschopath killer insane what on earth is she thinking; I can come up with something else.
