Welcome to this Collab Corner topic. The story, The Heroes of Teranore currently has 4 writers and possibly a fifth on the way. But we have an issue! Basically, the only writers involved so far are only guys. The writer who may be joining us, is indeed a girl. But in total, there is 7 main characters so far, all male. And we need to take a twist on the story by adding a female touch to it. Nothing is written in stone at the moment with the 5th possible author, as she has not replied to any comments in the last 24hours. We are able to take more then one extra writer on board. But without sounding sexist to guys, we only need girl authors as we have enough guys. The story can be found on my profile. Please post below as soon as possible if you are interested. Thanks for reading, because I might have ranted a little.
And here is a link to the story in question : http://www.protagonize.com/exercise/heros-of-teranore
Un, I kinda looked over it, but can I get a quick summary until I have Ike to read it? I can't spend forever reading online right now, I'm about to go to bed. But I might be interested in in joining if I can get a recap, just so I know what's going on. I'll try to read it tomorrow.
There is a war in the land known as Teranore. And the story builds up from an Orc attack on an Elven City. Humans have retreated from there lands and the story is set in Elven lands. There are currently 7 characters and then the dragon characters. Both groups are yet to meet. There is a group of three formed after the attack on the Elven City. And about 10 chapters in the Second group of characters is introduced. Any author involves generally writes for every character in there chapter and when it was first set up a biography of your character was used for guidance for the other authors. By now though we mostly know how the characters will act =) But whoever joins will need to submit two biographies for two Separate characters.
No No. The dragons are separate and you need not worry about them for now. You can have both human, or both elf, or halflings, or a half elf. There is no real restriction on race, as long as they are girls. Because i do not even think the word "she" has been writen once through out the story. And there is about 21'000 words so far. =p
Well nothing can be fully confirmed until the other authors are happy. But your potential characters need to have a biography in the following format. Name: Age: Race: Appearance: Personality: History:
Ok. I hate to leave you at this point, not even posting up bios yet, but my eyes are drooling and my brain's not working. I'll think about my characters and have my bios up (and hopefully the story, or mist if it, read) tomorrow. Again, sorry, and good night.
I find this very interesting as it peaks my curiosity. I was wondering, before hand, if it was possible for an elf and a dragon to come into contact on a friendly bases? If so, would it be possible for a young dragon to travel with an elf as a companion?
@Alex_Walker I am not sure if that is the direction that we are taking it. At the moment the only dragons that are mentioned are rampaging villages and destroying homes. At the moment they are plannng something especially sinister. Regarding an Elf and Dragon combination, I am not sure it would fit in at the present moment. But if the others agree, there could be a slight chance of it happening in the future. And that chance would be quite slim. It is nice to see that you are creative though. =) That is always a positive. If you are interested, I shall refer you to the other guys in the collab. =)
Well I'm glad that you guys are interested... an elf dragon combination would be a bit on the odd side... it the future it might work but like DTMN said its possible.... actually that did give me an idea though DTMN.... I'll send to you later... We hope you two decide to join!
In the future possibly. I myself have a hard time seeing it. I think Spocheh truly has taken control of the dragons in this story. Most of them furiously hate elves dwarves, humans. However there was one rouge old one that wished to die that we had in there. Which means they're a few rouge dragons out there. For now it doesn't fit but perhaps when we approach a resolution to that part of the story it could happen and symbolize trust between the two races.
As far as the combination is concerned I thought if the dragon was very young as in only a few centuries old, when it either gets lost and the elf finds it or saves it. It can go like you said any way, I just thought that it would be an odd couple but could fit in because she was a traveler...... I'll post the bio. : D
I was thinking about that too if were centuries old it should still know or feel the hatred. I would say you could get away with it if it were a psuedo dragon, and it was very recently founded by your character, and maybe less than a decade old.
