if you want to watch a good Sherlock Holmes show.
Go onto LetMeWatchThis and find the tv show called "Sherlock".
Their is 3 episodes and they are about an hour and thirty minutes each.
Might give you a good idea. They are better then the films =p
i'm guessing you have some interest to?
and the sherlock tv show is set in modern times.
I realise it has been a while since I commented last, and it might be a mistake, but do you want to write a collab on this?

Appearance: Short, lightly definable muscles. Pale startling blue eyes. Boyish dirty blond hair usaully untidy, and goes just above eye level. Usually weres a blue overcoat over whatever he deems fit to wear.

History: Grew up in a upperclass family was always intrigued by biology, especially the human body. Sister went missing when he was 13.

Science Speciality: Physicist/Chemist
Appearance: Tall and lanky. Not the most obvious looking athlete but can run large distances. Jet black hair that curls ever so slightly.
IQ: 143
History: His family originated from Germany and over the course of his childhood he has lived in Germany, France, Netherlands, Sweeden, Norway and Italy. This was due to his fathers job, which his mother has withheld from him since his father passed away eleven years ago. He has a a deep understanding of people and psychology and speaks nine languages.
Personality: He is a very withdrawn man. Keeps his thoughts and feelings too himself as he feels exposing his feelings and thoughts will endanger him. A sarcastic sense of humour.

We cant really dive into a mystery styled story.
So lets answer a few basic questions.
Location.
19th or 20th centuary.
Where do our characters come in : aka what is there job.
I have no real preference as to the location as long as it is some form of a metropolis.
I would lean towards 20th centuary myself.
And Private Investigator or something alone those lines. Or did you want to have them as actual detectives?
as a metropolis in the 20th century we are limited if its early 20th century which is sorta where i'm going. what about you?
one of them should be an actual detective.
I shall google 20th centuary metropolis and see what I get, I would bet maybe London and New York, and not much else.
I am good with early 20th centuary, if its not a metropolis, where did you consider having it set?
