For Greece it could always be set during the Argead dynasty, although that was a lot earlier than 11th Century haha

As for England I think the War of the Roses stands out as an obvious one there, even if that was just a civil war.

No idea if Templars can fit in there anywhere but hey, England has a lot of history to choose from :)

I think the whole funded by Templars thing is a good idea, but I can't really think of a reasoning behind it.

the frech have a magic wepon of mass destruction. in the heart of paris. they want the english to invated so they can let it off and unleash an (maybe army of the undead. or not, i don't know) and detroy the english? thinking, ghost's. they can take over the english's mind. but up to you. the templars want them to invated as they get to keep half of england and half the solders they take over. that could work. seems long written down here, :( but in book form this could work.

The War of the Roses had nothing to do with the French, though. It was an English civil war between the House of York and the House of Lancaster over the throne. Well, to be precise it was multiple civil wars over the throne but you catch my drift.

I love this! So on board! One question: can the assassins perhaps .....well, maybe some of them don't EXACTLY follow the whole creed all the time???? I was thinking it could be fun to have my character be slightly morally ambiguous, kind of...do things outside the Assassin's Creed? Also, on the idea of the conspiracy...maybe France sowed the seeds for war in order to divide England and attempt to take over? I dunno, just an idea. Ignore if you want.

The only issue with involving the French is that they had Joan of Arc and the Templars took the Sword from her.

Personally I think it needs to be a religious war so as to tie in with the Templars, but England doesn't seem to have had too many of those, so if we were to set in during a non-religious war or political movement, we have to ask ourselves just what the Templars would gain by funding and driving it.

As for not always following the Creed, I see we have a little Altair on our hands ;)

@CrystalRose I think they meant not following it as in how Altair seemed to do whatever he wanted regardless of the Creed.

Good point. And yeah, more or less. I mean, he would follow it, just not at all costs. he would break it to achieve his goals, and justify it by interpreting the Creed as he sees fit.
