Is it going to include all the usual elves, dwarves and such?
There needs to be some sort of threat from a dark lord or some equivalent too... Could have several smaller evils or something?

i`m interested and my horrible time managements skills should be able to match your scheduale.

not to sure on ideas but definetly fantasy creatures. and maybe some magic but howabout no one really knows much about magic like its sorta a new discovery and people are only begining to understand it.

sorta confused at the term smaller evils.

i`ve recently started playing in DND and i was thinking the goals could be more individual to the character but shared through the need to be together to survive for example of the character i`m thinking he is selfish and needs money. even though he comes off as a bit of a coward because he acts only when convienent to him, but deep down he has a sense of right and wrong but always measure things carefully and must fill his selfish need.

I know this is basic but it could be a start lets say that it could start as a raid on a outskirt militarized town. After several investigations ordered by king, feudal lord, Noble or whatever. they put up posters calling in whoever is foolish or brave enough to go find out what happens, with say a reward, or a very good promotion to those in the military, for magic users knowledge of magic, cash, whatever is wanted.

I know its not a great start but it is interesting to me.

I like this idea of each character having personal motivations and goals. :)

By smaller evils I mean a bunch of minor villians e.g. orcs, corrupt lords, theives.

oh okay.

hmm well if we were to do the idea i mentioned up above i would say that the orcs would be occupieing the town, and killing all who come near. But they would be pawns for corrupt lords. and perhaps after our characters storm the town they find a marking but just forget about it until they see it when they collect the reward from whomever.

well i have a character all lined up i will post is in bioish form

age 25
personality: Intimidating, doesn't trust anyone even his own teacher who disapeared on him ten years ago. Is selfish but does have some morales and knows the difference to right and wrong. Seeks revenge. a little hot headed but at the same time analyzes things quickly.
Appearance: five foot nine, muscular has a scarr running from his forehead through his right eye, down to his left shoulder. his eye are a beautiful forest green coloured his right eye however is slit as if it was cursed..very fine skin, light tan.
Past: grew up in an isolated town hidden in tree with a clan of halve elves and human, until it was burnt down by a group of raiders guided by a wizard with red eyes. He is the only survivor and vowed to find this wizard and kill him or her. After the attack he lived on the road living off the land and whoever he could succesfully steal from until he met his teacher who taught him how use weapons and magic to make a living. Since then he has lived as a mercenary, while also using his spare time to track the wizard who destroyed his home.
skills/weapons: carrys a greatsword and two short swords, has a bow but rarely uses it. He is naturally talented at magic yet all he uses it for is repelling spells and using it to make his attacks stronger and more precise, or two remove curse or spells from variouse things. only magic spell he uses in combat is a fireball. sort of a jack of all trades but is not very good at sneaking or stealing anything.

What sort of creatures are allowed?
