Collaborative Corner

This story is called Sammy the Magical Unicorn, and is a chance for people to write a number of hilarious short stories, with no continuity with the one that preceded it, about a unicorn named Sammy in a world that he does not understand.

The idea is that I used the opening chapter to lay down the law on Sammy's character, and then named the branches 'Sammy and the [hilarious situation]'.

The sense of humour is supposed to be a little twisted, giving us a chance to poke fun at a mythical creature that doesn't understand how hard life is in the Flowery Forest.

Check out the link and have a go. Try to keep it to flash-fiction, so nobody else has to finish your story, they can just pick up on a title you've suggested and interpret how they will.

Figured this would be a good place to mention to you, Tom, that Sammy the Unicorn is great fun. Hard to find really short humorous pieces here so far, especially ones that do not take itself seriously.

Hopefully, now that this thread has a nifty yellow "recent" tag on it, more folk will come by and have a few laughs ... at the expense of a poor magical Unicorn.
