An Exquisite corpse (also known as exquisite cadaver or rotating corpse) is a method by which collections of words are collectively assembled (Yes. I hear you.. This is exactly what this site is about. But wait .... )
It was invented by the Surrealists and is similar to an old parlour game called Consequences in which players write in turn on a sheet of paper, fold it to conceal part of the writing, and then pass it to the next player for a further contribution.
It is this process of concealment that makes this game so much more interesting.
In my variant,
an author will be privy to ONLY the last paragraph or 100 words or so of ONLY the previous chapter with minimal author guidance, which he/she will need to build upon.
There will be word limits and other minor limitations to the pieces we write, and other trivial rules to make things more challenging.
In the end, we assemble all the chapters and see what we get.
It is truly a surreal experience. Let me know if anyone is interested in taking part in this.

We shall hopefully use the "mystique of accident" with fragments of prose to reveal "the unconscious reality in the personality of this group".
Not many rules in place :
1) You will only get the last 2 sentences of a random author's writing.
2) You need to continue on that. (Minimum words : 250; Maximum words : 450)
It can be any kind of prose. No rules here, except that it needs to be prose.
Update : (You need to finish your piece in 24hrs or so, or we move it on to someone else.)
3) Once you finish your piece, you will also write one word that you think best describes (or comes close to describing) your piece of work and send it along via email to me.
The next author gets this word along with your last 2 sentences. (What the next author does with that word is totally up to her/him.)
I shall randomly send sentences(and a word) to the authors through email and hopefully in a week's time, we shall have our cadaver ready. I am hoping for two rounds here, but of course it completely depends on the active participation of the above.
Thanks.
