A basic flexible Halo plot:
*Intoduction (intoduce characters and background info/important info)
*First conflict (Probably Baddies attack Goodies)
*End/Escape (First conflict ends, you can split up the characters, kill one or two, intoduce some good reason for them to plan something dangerous eg take back something the baddies nicked/avenge someone)
*Regroup (Whatever you want here, characters plan, gather resources, skirmishes etc)
*Last conflict (Nice big build up and a lot of tense atmosphere follwed by a big fight)
*Resolution (What's left of the characters can take a bit of R&R, of get left in a cliffhanger)
Just come up with ideas to slot into each section, and as the story takes shape you can play about with that structure, even completely rearrange it if you feel like it. Once you've sorted out one or two important scenes the rest wil lcome easier. Hope this helps you to start :)

its a fun mission, when you destroy the arc, you kill the remaining flood cause they all went there.
