I'm trying to figure out whose waist that is in the new group image. Also, what it has to do with character development. Someone, please enlighten me?

:p

That's quite a manly girth you have there.

He couldn't resize the pic to fit. I think he sent you an email.

Rachel, your waist is hot! I can't wait for everyone to see how you sport your black knee socks and athletic shoes. Rawwwrrr!

Nick, if you're his facebook friend, you'll see the entire picture.

Yep, I saw the pic on FB - that's actually just the way the images get resized for groups.. it takes the larger dimension and crops it, then resizes to fit. If he wants it all to show up, he'll have to add some white space around the image using an image editor... that should do the trick.

The other option is that I resize the height and add black space around it automatically.. kinda works in some situations but not in others. I'll give it some thought.

Well, it's actually the first picture of "that guy" that's up there, and while I was trying to resize it, by rescaling the background, I had the idea of him going to Afghanistan, and just did that instead. However, I'm still getting that bug when uploading it.

Hmm, I re-uploaded it in there without a problem. Can you upload any other images instead?

Yup. I flattened the image, made it a jpeg, and now I'm gonna eat Doritos and watch a movie. (oh, and..um...feel kinda stupid about the 1 meg, saw that, and didn't bother checking. I was off by 0.78. Sue me. :P)

I'll resize it tomara.

Aw snap, someone didn't like my joke. Maybe it was that guy, secretly offended that I was criticizing HIS waist! Oh, the irony!

@smac I've actually got a warning about file size code in there but right now it's getting overridden by another form... I'll get it sorted out over the weekend.

@nick,

Well, you better! Like any other good shopper, I expect a nice message that I've ignored clearly posted guidelines so I can complain about the system anyhow. Us consumers like to excuse ourselves from any responsibility whatsoever. What kind of outfit are you running here anyhow?

Seriously however, the size of the frame for that picture, seems (to me, at least) so uncommon, it's unwieldy. Is that the default dimensions for all the groups?

@Rachel,

Maybe he's secretly proud of his waist, and subtly goes around showing off.

@Everyone,

As much as I love the pic for what it is, given the photo should actually be more of an icon, I'll probably change it

Yeah, that is the default size, 246x138 is basically 16:9, same as any HDTV format. :)

I'll think about making it bigger for the group landing pages, but it has to be a fixed size and I didn't want it taking up a huge amount of space. The resizer crops first then resizes the rest, so you don't get tiny shrunken images with lots of black space around them. Maybe I can make that an option or something, instead.
