Based on which person best suits the narrative and other goals I have for the book.

Money. No question. Or maybe a chateau in the south of France. And for me personally, a few cases of 1963 Chateau Rothschild.

thanks for listing this. I really enjoy the dexter series of novels so getting a little insight into the mind behind the murderer is always interesting. out of interest, what inspired you to create dexter in the first place? where did the idea of this vigilante serial killer struggling with has own humanity (or lack thereof) come from? also, the tv series diverges quite a lot from the book story lines, though I find both quite enjoyable. did you have much of a hand in the development of the tv storylines?
