I watched the people on the beach. They were all talking to each other, but none of them saw me.
Probably because I was currently dangling from a tree around two meters over their heads with what was left of my parachute ropes tangled around my midriff.
Maybe that sky-diving lesson wasn't such a good idea after all. The one parachute in fifty that has faulty strings happened to be on that goddam plane. And I had to be the one to pick it up.
Muttering to myself, I reached down and tapped the girl beneath me on the head.
"Err, hi. I just dropped in." She gaped up at me. I sniggered nervously. "You wouldn't mind getting me down would you?"
