To Write

I write because it brings me happiness in the simplest form. To live in a world without pen and paper would be to live in a colorless, emotionless blob. How would one express themselves? Words bring the energy to life, whether they're emotionally tiring or monumentally exciting.

I have read books, poems, quotes, excerpts, and more that will stay with me forever. Some twist my heart into a pretzle and make me sob for days, some delight me and make me laugh so hard my cheek muscles go sore, and some warm me up. They reel me in and comfort me. I write because I want to reel in someone. I want to twist the heart of a stranger with a single sentence. I want to make a person smile at simple phrase. I write because I want my words to stay with someone forever.
