Where were you on the morning of September 11, 2001? Write it down lest we forget.
I was a year out of high school, living in Houston with my uncle and his family. I was reaching away from home without having to live on my own. My uncle treated me as if I was an adult.
I was at work the morning of the hijacking. My boss was listening to the radio when we found out. He just had to see pictures of what was going on, but we didn't have a TV in the office. So, he went to a near by Wal Mart and bought a TV and a TV stand. (This was before the days of nothing but flat screen TVs.)
It's safe to say that we didn't get a lot of work done that day. A few customers came in and watched the news with us. Opinions varied as they usually do. My boss wondered what the world was coming to.
My other co-worker and I (there was a grand total of 3 in the office) were of the same mind. We were surprised at the event but not surprised that this sort of thing could happen.
Where were you? What were you thinking?
