I lay next to Ethan, trying to block Ellie and Jerry out. All I could see was them kissing in my mind. How could she do that to him? I was sure that Ellie knew how he felt about her. I was sure. I was going to get them. I was going to get them good.
Ethan's eyes flickered open, and looked down at me. "Mornin' Ami-jade." he muttered. I was surprised about how calm he was about finding me next to him. He gave a sad smile.
"You ok?" I asked him. He raised his eyebrows.
"You're the one with teartracks. I should be asking you if you're ok. So. You ok?" He looked quite concerned. I gave a nod. He sat up, the thick quilt fallin away from his slightly toned body.
"Ughhh....I hope Ellie and you had better dreams than I did! Jeez."
"What did you dream about?"
"Well...Ally and Ellie were stood side by side, and Jerry was like, just stood in front of them. Then...he walked forward, and took Ally's hand. He pushed Ellie back, and she dissapeared. Just...poof. That's it. Poof. Then...it changed. a black room. Ellie was laid down on this big red blooming flower. The flower...it turned into blood." Ethan shuddered, shaking his head.
I clutched my hand to my heart. I couldn't tell him. I couldn't. It would break his heart. But I had to tell him. "I'll be back. I need to go for a walk right now. After that, we need to have a good talk." I told him, before drifting to the park. Laura and Ally were sat there.
"Ally...? Can you make me human? Or at least solid? I want to be able to confort Ethan. I want to be able to hold his hand, hug him. I...oh." Ally and Laura were staring at me. I explained about Ellie, Ethan and Jerry. Ally looked horrified.
"Go back to him. You have to tell him." Laura said softly. I gave a nod. I went back to him. Ethan was dressed now. I sat beside him, and took his hands in my now solid ones. Only solid to him, but solid. I told him what I saw. He squeezed my hands tightly.
"Don't worry about it. And Ethan?"
"I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make you happy. Before I died, I wanted to be the one to make you smile. I loved your smile, and wanted to see it everyday. I just wish Ellie could see how special you are." I said, slightly shyly. Ethan just stared for a moment, before throwing himself forward, hugging me tightly. I smiled. He would be the only one to see me, to touch me. And I was going to be Ellie and Jerry's personal poltergueist.
