Ellie: Empty

I could only go to one place after school. The place where someone would wait for me. Be happy to see me.

I slowly walked to Ethan's front door, and hesitated, but then knocked. His mother opened the door, a friendly looking woman in a apron and mittens. She smiled.

"Oh, hello."

"Hi, I'm Ellie...is Ethan here?" I looked up to see Ethan standing behind her. I smiled at the fact he was taller than her.

"I got it, Mom." she grinned happily and walked back into the kitchen, "What's up Ellie?" he asked, letting me in and taking my jacket.

"Umm..." I eyed his mother cooking in the kitchen.

"Let's go to my room," he walked up the stairs and to the right, letting me follow. I walked in and he closed the door behind him, sitting next to me on his bed, "Yet again, what's up?" he asked.

I couldn't help it. I couldn't hold them out. It was like word vomit. I told him everything about Jerry, and how he still loved Ally. And today at school about what he did. I told him everything. It wasn't until I finished that I burst into tears.

He held me close, rocking my gently.

"It's okay, Ellie...it'll all be alright. I promise."

The End
