Ami didn't wake up. And it wasn't long before I started crying.
She wasn't close to me, like a best friend, but...I felt sorry for her. We had no idea if she was dead, and when I asked Julianna if we should take her to the hospital she just said no. Why? Why not?! We should just leave her to die? Is that what we should do?
"Jerry. I really think we should take her to the hospital." me and Jerry sat on a park bench, staring down at Ami's body, Julianna and Nick bent over her. He wrapped his arm around me.
"There are some things you don't know, Ellie. This is one of those things where we have to keep quiet. We just can't take her to hospital, we possibly can't." he whispered into my ear, pressing his lips to my hair and resting his cheek on my head.
"Is she...dead?" I croacked. He shook his head.
"I don't think so."
"How about we take her home? In bed?" I stood up and walked over to where Ami lay on the concrete ground, night was falling. Nick nodded in agreement.
"I'll take her. You guys can come too if you want." Nick picked her up, hoisting himself up off of the floor along with Julianna.
"I'm gonna' hit the sheets. Please make her better." I whispered, turning the opposite direction.
"Me too, see you guys tomorrow." Jerry soluted and ran back to me, clasping my hand in his as we stroled along the sun-setted streets.
I stood infront of my house door, hugging Jerry, "Will she be okay?" I asked. I felt him nod. "I'll see you tomorrow, Jerry. Good night." I leant up onto my toes and pressed my lips to his gently, then let go, smiled and shut the front door.
