Its funny how when you're young, and the memories you keep are such a small fraction of the life you're going to live, you often imagine yourself to be invincible. You live your life day by day, not ever really thinking about where your life is headed...or even how much time you have left.
I think the death of Ally Prior woke all of us up.
To say it was a shock to the system would be an understatement. One day she was there, laughing and joking with the rest of us, the next day...She was gone.
I'll never be one of those people who, the minute someone dies, instantly starts worshipping the ground they walked on. No, even in death Ally Prior has faults, just like the rest of us. But I will say this: Ally Prior was a friend, not a best friend, but someone we all knew we could turn to. Perhaps that's why it hit us so hard...
Nice people aren't meant to die like this.
These things aren't meant to happen at all.
