I'm not really sure if it's just me, but I have this really bad habit of overanalysing characters.
Like, I'll be watching a TV show, and I'll start trying to work out exactly what a character is thinking. I wrote a couple of songs - "Gwen" and "Anwen in Pink" - from the point of view of Gwen Cooper from Torchwood, which you can find on site.
But I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, and after my latest passages I thought I would set up an exercise so that anyone else who feels like writing from a character's point of view can do so without feeling quite so freaky and isolated.
I guess you could say it's fan fiction, sort of, so I'll tag it as that. I also think it's great because it can help you understand those more difficult characters of your own, the ones that aren't quite fully formed and require some coaxing to come to life.
So, here we go.
