Asha: So Much For No Drama...

Sorry, Asha. Sylvester's voice suddenly echoed in my head. I felt a leaden weight drop in my stomach as I sensed him coming up the stairs. I barely had time to register it before he was at the door. He banged on the door, the noise thundering through the room loud and clear. In seconds, the atmoshpere had gone from festive to cold and silent.

Asha, I'm so sorry about this.. I need to talk to her. Sylvester's voice came through again

“Asha? ASHA – where is she? Where’s Aria?” he then bellowed. I heard Harmony trying to reason with him, but I realised that he wasn't going to let this go. He hammered on the door again

“Aria, I know you’re in there.”

“I’m busy!” she yelled back, looking at me with wide eyes. I shrugged.

"He wants to talk to you." I said quietly, although with the punding on the door I'm not sure Sylvester heard. Aria did.

“Get out here! I need to talk to you!” He yelled again desperately. There was a final thud and he seemed to have stopped trying to break the door down.

“Can’t it wait?”

“”No, it can’t wait.” he almost whispered. Aria wheeled around to me again, torn.

"Go!" I said to her, whispering to keep it from Sylvester. "If it wasn't important he wouldn't be here."

"But.. your wedding?" she replied hesitating.

"Precisely, my wedding-you two are going to sort this out. And you are both going to be there when I go down the aisle in a couple of hours time. I love the pair of you, and Aria I really think you should go."

She twisted her mouth, clearly not happy. "I don't know what I'm going to say."

“Aria, please come out.” Sylvester's voice floated through again. He sounded like he was about to break.

I'm so sorry Asha..

Sylvester.. if you apologise one more time, its not going to be pretty. I joked. Stop it.

Aria went to the door, opening it the barest minimum. “Honestly. Hold yer horses – I’ll be out in a minute.” Then she slammed it behind her.

"What am I gonna do?!" she whispered hoarsely.

"Be honest, speak from the heart and for God's sake please don't make him too mad." I said desperately. "I really want both of you there."

Aria nodded in reply, going quiet. We could hear Sylvester stalking out of the room beyond.

"Look, whatever it is-the people her are going to understand right?" I said, hoping to help. A shadow passed behind her eyes.

"Go!" I said again, and shoved her through the door before she had a choice.

That left me alone. In the lull that followed, I realised that I wasn't alone. Someone was in the room with me.

I spun round to face them.

"What are you doing here?"

The End
