Asha: Putting the Pieces Back Together

Things became blurry after I killed Lee. I caught snatches of things, words, mostly impressions of things. There was a sense of peace in the house, and it was becoming stronger. I didn't really know what was going on. Then Kyoshiro appeared and things snapped into focus. I watched the events unfold between Clara and Sylvester, knowing that I should leave them alone, but wanting to go to him all the same. Then Harmony shouted "Save your apologies for someone who gives a crap!" and she ran out. The bottom dropped out of my stomach. That was not good.

"This must be a sign or something." I said, mostly to myself. Jay, who was still holding me, held me closer and whispered

"This is not a sign of anything, our marriage will be beautiful, blessed and you will be the lovliest bride in the history of the universe."

I couldn't help but love him more for that. I also couldn't help thinking I hope so. I hugged him  back. Harmony came back, apologising, asking to help collect the souls. I wanted to help but there was a roaring in my ears. All these people coming back from the dead. Dont let him come back again. Anyone but him. I still cant believe hes gone.. I still feel like he is breathing down my neck. Things closed in around me again. I could hear someone crying , but I was let things fade. I had fought my battle for today and I was exhausted. My shoulder stung a little and I realised that was probably why. I fell asleep again, Jay taking me in his arms.

When I woke up again, it was in time to hear Aria talking,

"He- he, condensed himself to become a Soulsphere. When Sylvester smashed the first one, he let out lots of angry- and disturbed- souls, and they are after him. The only way that we could stop them souls from turning Sylvester mad, and then killing him was if we sacrificed someone to become another Soulsphere. Kyoshiro kindly gave himself up." I heard the her go out,.

Jay, who was sitting next to me in bed, stiffened in shock. I sat bolt upright, making him jump. Aria heard me, coming back in, looking troubled.

"Tell me I just misheard that. Tell me that Kyoshiro didn't make himself the Soulsphere." I didn't mean to sound aggressive but I did not want Kyoshiro to be gone forever.  Aria recovered first, saying "Sorry darlin' but he's gone." she was in tears. I barely held back tears of my own. Jay put his arm around my shoulders, holding me tight.

"Harmony.."I said, distractedly "She'll be in peices... Someone should go see she's ok... I'll go.."

"I'll come with ya" Aria said. I nodded gratefully. Before we found her though, we ran into Sylvester.

"Hey," he said, "You're looking better."

I grinned weakly. "Thanks, are you ok?" He looked...Different.

Sylvester nodded. "Just thinking about how I'm going to get these souls."

"Well, if there's any way I can help- let me know."

"Thank you." he smiled.

"Although it will have to be after the wedding!" I laughed.

The other two also laughed, agreeing.

"By the way, Aria," I said, turning to her. "Would you be my cheif bridesmaid?"

She grinned broadly "Was wondrin' when you'd get round to that! 'Course I will!" I hugged her gratefully.

"And Sylvester, I am going to try and convince Jay to make you our best man. After all you two have done, its the least we could do."

He grinned back. "I'd like that."

"I want to find Harmony first, but after that, I'll go talk to him ok?" I told Sylvester.

"And why would you be looking for me?" Harmony said from behind us.

We all looked round. She was clearly upset but holding herself together.

"You ok hon?" Aria asked gently.

There was a flicker of a smile across Harmony's lips, but she nodded.

"There's a wedding to be planned here!" Harmony said brightly. "Its fine."

"Ok," I replied, respecting the change of subject. "How is the dress going?"

"Great," she replied, sounding a little down still." But I need to know who you are having as bridesmaids and everything. Plus.. I need to make a suit."

I smiled gratefully. "Well, Aria is chief bridesmaid..and I was hoping you would also be a bridesmaid?"

Her face lit up. "Really?"

I nodded, and she threw her arms around my neck. "Thank you!"

I laughed. "Thank you." I replied. "You're the one doing all this work. I wanted to thank you properly."

"What does Jay think of all this?" Sylvester asked.

"What does Jay think of all what?" Jay said from behind. I turned around, feeling sheepish.

"Well..." I began.

The End
