Asha: False Alarm?

When I got to the top of the stairs, I was nearly knocked over by Harmony coming the other direction. She was in tears. That made me stop, and I called after her, but she just ran into her room. The shouts I had heard had stopped. Confusing. I could have sworn I had heard Jay, Sylvester and Aria shouting, but louder than all of those was the voice of Kyoshiro, speaking in a lyrical, but foreign language, as though to us. His words settled softly in my mind. The others also seemed to calm. It was the stangest thing. Their voices still echoed like a memory. I shook my head, in an attempt to rid it of the noise, but a nagging feeling remained that something was wrong.

I went to Jay's room, knocking softly so I didn't wake the others. I could hear a couple of people moving around the Mansion but it was mostly silent. Jay opened the door and pulled me inside, kissing me as though he never wanted to let go. Needless to say, I returned his passion with equal force. We spent the rest of the night talking quietly, just enjoying being together, aware that come morning, we may be parted, no matter how much we wanted to stay together. At times I heard the echoes of the shouts again, but Jay seemed to hear nothing, so I remained quiet. Too soon, we heard the sounds of the other inhabitants getting up. It was time.

The End
