Rude. Rude beyond belief. I run all the way here, up what felt like a million steps, just to find some chick staring into a mirror. Screaming at her own reflection. I thought that someone might have been hurt, that something had happened – but no… I’d have gladly done anything to help her. Or anyone for that matter... anything to redeem myself, to forget what I had done and instead to look at what I could do.
“Hey did you just scream?” I got little response; she seemed a bit dazed to be honest. “Are you ok?”

And yet something was wrong, so I told her so. "Really? You don't look it." Like I said before; I don’t have very good people skills. She spat something rudely back at me and then brushed me off, leaving the way I’d come. I watched her go and couldn’t believe she was a vampire – she didn’t look like any vampire I’d ever seen before. But then, how many had I met?
I followed her down the staircase and watched her turn into a bedroom, slamming the door shut behind her. I shook my head and blinked, finally taking in my surroundings. A long hallway, too many doors, and lamps on stained wallpaper. Not a bad place to stay whilst the hunters ran themselves in circles outside. Turning back towards the steps which led downstairs I jumped and cursed, flinging myself back against the wall. Three other vampires stood there, just staring at me. I suppose they were thinking the same about me – dark haired, grey eyed, strange vampire, just staring at them.
I fought the desire to stalk past them out of the house, and instead introduced myself. “Hi. I’m Sylvester.” I stuck out my hand in greeting and waited for one of them to say something…
